This. Also, we already have Bollig who struggles with this as well at times. Can't have them both in the lineup and I'd personally rather have Bollig.

Wes Gilbertson said yesterday that Diaz was skating again.
There were times yesterday when the D looked really knackered. Diaz coming back would see him playing more minutes than Wotherspoon/Potter. I think we need a 6th D-man just helping out and playing at the same level as the other 5.

Diaz skated again this morning, with Gio. Before the main group.

Bouma, Byron still not skating.
Notable absences at skate today. Guys who are either very bruised still from Round 1 (ie. Ferland, Jones) and/or battling through semi-serious injuries (Hudler, Russell). Pure speculation on my part. Great to see Monahan is on the ice given the speculation on him being hurt.

Had an idea!

Wasn't it an optional skate?

I don't know. Initially the media thought it was optional then the regulars started filling up. Either way I think you can assume the guys not there are bruised up or more seriously fighting something. Just my opinion.

Looks like an optional practice for the #Flames again this morning. More regulars than yesterday, however.

I hope Bouma is back soon. He was injured April 2nd correct (the clinching LA game)? So this Saturday will be a month

Don't see that the Ducks would back off because of Engelland. The Jets had Byfuglien, Stuart, Pardy/Charoit plus Myers and Trouba and Enstrom still had the crap beat out of him.

The Ducks are not speed merchants... Jackman got over 7 minutes a game.
Bellesky, Maroon are more lumbering than speed merchants.
Having Maroon playing with Getzlaff and Perry indicates a slower more physically dominating offensive zone strategy than Vancouver or the Flames like to play..... Not that Wolf or Bollig will ever be on the ice against Getzlaf / Perry...... but they would do better than if they were matched up against the Sedins and Hansen/Burrows

I feel like I could easily be a surgeon after watching that.
Drill a couple holes, tie the tendon down, screw in a plug. Voila.

Sure, just don't nick an artery, damage nerves, or cause a major infection. But yeah, super easy.

Disagree. Calgary will have four days off between Vancouver game 6 and Anaheim game 1. There are two days off between games 1 and 2. They will get either two days off between game 2 and 3 or games 3 and 4 depending on the Tampa/Detroit series. At this point Hartley only needs five defencemen. There is lots of time to recover between games. Use that extra defenceman's spot on a forward. Hartley could use it to have Granlund back in for a few shifts, Byron if he's healthy, or just get McGrattan back out there to punch Kesler.
I'm only partially joking.

Dude must be a farmer.
I still have nightmares of my dad trying to dig out a stick that went through my arm with his hunting knife.
Doctor? Who needs a doctor? Freeze it in this here glacial fed beaver dam, let ME cut it out.
