I'm fortunate enough to be a season ticket holder this year, and I get to sit a couple of seats down from handgroen. Over the course of the season I think I've told him two predictions -- the first one was Monahan to score the OT winner against Colorado on Dec 4 (which I'm happy to say came true).
The second one was tonight. This morning, after reading the GDT, I had a funny feeling Stajan would be the hero tonight. So in the second intermission, when he asks me who I've got in the third, I say, "Matt Stajan... I think he's due".
Cheers buddy, and GFG!

That's going to be awkward if it is a girl.

Well... maybe if you don't want the other team to score empty net goals in that situation, don't have 6 skaters when you're down 2 with 12 second left

Canucks showed they wanted to keep playing by pulling their goalie while down by 2. So Ferland just responded how any player still playing a game would.

I don't even know how to explain what I just saw. Go down 3-0, then win the final 50 minutes 7-1?
Hudler's 4-4 tying goal ended Vancouver's season. They emptied their tank to get to that point, and couldn't overcome. The Flames held Vancouver to TWO SHOTS in the last 17 minutes of the game.

Anybody in Vancouver right now? Are they actually behaving themselves for a change, or have they starting rioting yet? Just curious.

although their best player was alone on the goalie with under a minute left...could have been a heartbreaker!

Any word on the Vancouver riots? Thoughts and prayers to the bridge and tunnel crowd.

Easily the best flames game I've ever had the luxury of going to, the way the crowd stayed together for the flames after going down 3-0 I didn't hear 1 person bitch/moan/whine everyone was positive asking for the next one.
My hand is purple from banging on the signage below the super suites in the corner, or from the high fives that were being tossed left and right. The crowd standing for the last 5+ minutes was the best part.
Also, watching a guy who clearly look hammered and was being loud and belligerent let an old guy with crutches jump in line ahead of him and the massive lines @ the port-o-pee shacks and then HELP him back into the building was awesome. The best part was when the guy thanked him he said its what the flames would do lol.

Thank goodness we have 2 viable goalie options.
I really don't think Hiller was terrible tonight, but when you have options, it makes sense to switch it up. They play different styles and Ramo's style worked better tonight.

TJ Brodie is a monster. What a series. Hartley's 'supersonic' is the only appropriate descriptor.

If he really wanted to be a dick, he skates it up to the net and leaves it sitting in the crease with about 5 seconds left
