Just saw the slow motion replay of that goal. Miller get a tiny piece of it and it squeaks inside the post. Poetic.

Great karma as my daughter got pucks from Bollig, Bouma, and Monahan in Denver this season. Thought the last one came from Hiller, but I had the video going on my phone and you can watch Monahan palm the puck off the ice, go for a final quick skate, and then skate off to the tunnel and hand my daughter a puck.

I have two young daughters and a similar story...I want to go wake them up lol

Pretty telling on the TSN 1040 Vancouver show when they talk about young guys in the Canucks system they mentioned Shinkaruk, Niklas Jensen, Jared McCann, and Jake Virtanen and nobody mentioned Baertschi. I realized Baertschi is a couple years older, but it was still a curious omission.

When the Flames advanced to the Finals in 86 - I remember my mom sneaking into my room and whispering "the Flames won - they are in the final" in my ear.
It was wonderful. Go do that.

Hudler's play on this goal is fantastic. How he's able to catch the deflection on his back hand, corral it, and bring it quickly to his forehand is unreal.

I joked with my girlfriend when it was 3-0 that when the Flames won this game we were going to go upstairs and make a baby and name it after whatever Flame scored the winner.
I couldn't be happier that it was Matt Stajan.

Baertschi will have to pass through waivers now.

I think you could see him traded again in fall.

lol you called me out for that it's all good though
I spent the first part of the series on holidays and I go back to my super stressful job and they're up 3-1. Great holiday obviously, just awesome. Three ####ty days at work later and we're 3-2. No big deal to the practical side of me. But there was also a part of me that felt this franchise was a little cursed for a long time like EE, but also thought it was ridiculous at the same time to believe that. Don't get me wrong, I'm hardly spiritual but I was wondering about those forum ghosts a bit over the years and then at 3-0...

Context... I was late to watch the game, got hung up at work and finally get home and crack a beer, turn on the tv (forgot about one hour earlier start time so I missed the first 10 mins).... and we're down 3-0... grrrr.... Missed most of the first ranting to my wife, A NUCKS FAN!!!! It's been a testy few days to say the least and I think sexy time is on hold for a bit now...

anyway long story short.... I'm drunk, flames win and stajan is awesome (so, so happy for him, I have some relatable first hand experience)

Sorry for doubting flames!!! Especially after this year!

Curse definitely broken now! so many feelings! GFG!!!!

Seriously teared up for Stajan there, not afraid to admit it

To be honest I'm glad we won't be facing the Sedins again these playoffs. Gave us the runaround quite a few times.

Flames young guys have grown more in the last 2 weeks than the entire oilers roster in the last nine years. Absolutely invaluable experience!

Flames beat the Ducks twice at the dome this year so you could say the Ducks have had issues here
