I like Hudlers chances in this one. I love Datsyuk but not this time. Not this time.

Congrats to Huds! I don't think he'll win based on the Angry Hudler pictures I've seen though.

Cool. Didn't see this coming.
Does anyone know what is the greatest number of Flames to be award finalists in a single season? It should be a guarantee that Johnny and Hartley are finalists for the Calder and Adams respectively, and if enough people do what Bob McKenzie did, even Gio as a Norris finalist is possible.
Three or four awards finalists at the end of a season where the Flames were supposed to spend all year in the basement is quite amazing.
Looking at the stats:
- Datsyuk: 4 minor penalties & 65 points in 63 games played. 1 penalty every 15.75 games; 1.03 points per game.
- Kopitar: 5 minor penalties & 64 points in 79 games played. 1 penalty every 15.8 games; 0.81 points per game.
- Hudler: 7 minor penalties & 76 points in 78 games played. 1 penalty every 11.14 games; 0.97 points per game.

Pretty funny that a team with Brian Burke as president has an entire top line that could easily have been nominated for this. Swap out either Monahan or Gaudreau for Hudler and it still make sense.

Johnny gooned it up for a few games, including a double minor.

Johnny, Stone and Ekblad for the Calder. Who cares who the other 2 nominees for the Vezina are, Price has got that locked up. Maybe Dubynk gets a few votes, but does anyone not see Price winning it? Norris will be Weber, Karlsson and Doughty I reckon. Hopefully Weber wins it.
Hopefully Russell gets a Masterton nomination and the same with Hartley and the Jack Adams.
Potentially, we could have a Lady Byng winner, A Calder winner, A Masterton winner and a Jack Adams winner next season.

Nope... Hudler was just as gentlemanly, and just as effective, except he did it 15 more games. If the east coast media are worth their salt, this is Hudler's trophy.

Datysuk didn't play enough games and the media has been overdue to get Kopitar an award. Kopitar wins it.

Next season? You mean this season.
Next season, we could have all that and a Norris winner assuming Giordano remains healthy for a full year.
