Calgarys regular season vs Anaheim this year isn't that hot.

No, but it was a better record than the Jets 0-3 during the season.

Yeah, I don't think the Jets are that bad. I don't like Ladd/Byfuglien being the 2 cornerstones of the team, but the young pieces are there for sure.
Pavelec just isn't a #1 capable goalie. With Dubnyk likely getting whatever he wants in Minnesota, and San Jose desperate for change, do you think the Jets go after Niemi? Probably the best remaining free agent goalie out this summer (I think).

Pavelec .893
Andersen .923
3 blown 3rd period leads
11 goals against.
That's the difference.

Not happening, sadly. As much as I want it to happen... Chevy has decided Pavs is his guy.
I would be stunned and very elated if he moved away from Pavelec. He can point to the 920 save % this year and say "told you so" and then ignore his playoff dumpster fire.

I think the Ducks take the cup this year. Big, fast, relentless forecheck, and incredible depth up front. I don't see any team in the west winning 4 games against them this year and they'd destroy whoever they met from the east in the finals

That crowd was incredible. Best I've seen all playoffs. Shame they lost.

Of those last two goals though which one should Pavelec save.
First is a pass that goes through legs to Kesler wide open back door and the second is a point blank tip.
Defensive zone coverage when trying to contain the Ducks cycle is what has let them down.
He hasn't been great but you can't place all the blame on him.

There's no crying in hockey, don't cry ok!
Also, avoid the clap, Jimmy Dugan

How many of the goals do you put on Pavelec? Because I've see a whole bunch of deflections and passes allowed to go right through the slot.

Don't hug him for crying, it only validates the behaviour. Now if he punched a hole in his dry wall, you could hug him.

We earned our spot by beating the defending champs.
You earned your spot because we beat the defending champs.

I'd love to agree, and we did earn our spot, but Winnipeg is in a tougher division for sure. And by no means am I selling our boys short, they keep getting better and better, but let's not pretend it was anything other than our weak ass division that earned us the match up we got versus the match up Winnipeg got.

While that may be true, I think the Flames match up well against the Ducks. Wish we could just win at the Honda Center tho.
