Huge props to those in attendance. The atmosphere was absolutely electric on TV - I haven't heard the dome like that since '04. These young kids are feeding off of it and it injected some much needed energy into the Flames' play.
On behalf of all of us who cannot be in attendance, keep up the noise in game 4, it made a huge difference!

That had to have been the single most awesome moment I've ever experienced live as a Flames fan. Still remember exactly how the game shifted. You could just feel it in the Saddledome.

Desjardins a puppet master? LOL more like an overwhelmed deer in the headlights. Guy is a junior coach playing an NHL coach on TV, don't kid yourself.

My ears are still ringing, it was LOUD.
I couldn't even hear the intro video, I think I heard a remix of the 2004 video near the start. Voice is gone.

When Bennett got like a 2 minute ovation for his first goal, it was without a doubt the loudest I have ever heard the dome. I was almost expecting the kids head to blow up Scanners style on the bench there was so much positive energy thrown his way.
The energy without a doubt was feeding the players.Another thing that was awesome, was there were so few Canucks fans, when they scored, it was just a dull mumble. So it didn't take them off their game, and the crowd would get them right back in it.

I just watched the replay on that chicken Kevin Bieksa's sucker punching Ferland. Ferland wasn't even prepared for it and still have his gloves on when that dirty moron started punching him. My hate on Vancouver Canucks right now is at all-time high.

Hoping for even fewer Canucks fans in the Dome tomorrow night.
I have to say, I only saw two Canucks fans trying to start any kind of trouble. For the most part, they were calm and were just having a good time.
I don't know what kind of person wears an opposing jersey to a sporting event and then responds to verbal taunting with attempting to start a physical altercation. Stupid. Just accept the verbal jabs and keep your hands to yourself!

I still think the first two periods could have been better. Only the Backlund line looked good all game, and Ferland, Brodie and Gaudreau had great individual efforts.
If the Flames can apply the same style they played in the 3rd to a full 60 minutes two more times, then they for sure win the series. I am pretty sure they will.
Because of travel, I need the Flames to make the 2nd round in order to watch a game in person.

Does anyone know what the 50/50 ended up being last night? It was some ridiculously high number part way through the game.

LOVE THIS! When I went to Van for game 1 you could literally hear the players on the ice yelling to each other and calling for plays. I was shocked how quiet it was in there, especially for a playoff game. Doubt anyone in the dome heard a sound from the ice last night. Flames fans effing rule!

The fact that was (essentially) Bennett's first game ever at the Dome?
Unbelievable for that to be his first home game!

I would argue that the Flames played a very patient road game in the first period and the Canucks got shots but they weren't dangerous. The Flames also had 8 solid hits before the Canucks got one.
I think the ice really tilted after the 5 minute mark of the second period when the Flames really started to force turnovers, and kept up the physical play.
the Third period the Canucks looked like they were skating without a skate blade and were diving out of the ways of hits instead of playing hockey.
I don't recall the Canucks being all that dangerous throughout, and when the Flames got the 2-1 lead I was feeling pretty good about the win.
The Canucks don't look like a team with a lot of energy, I have this feeling that that the Canucks spent a lot of their energy budget in game 2.
I expect the Canucks to come out hard on Tuesday night, but if the Flames can respond physically the Canucks might not have the energy to keep up.

That is the big thing.
Ferland, Bollig, Colborne, Jones etc need to keep playing physical.
You could see the Canucks d-men were starting to hear footsteps in the third and were throwing the puck away.

Hats off to the fans in the Dome, well done. You impressed everyone including the players.
Because of the Ott-Mon game going into OT I missed the first 2.5 minutes of the game, but I imagine the Dome was deafening as those Flames came on to the ice.
I have like 5 CBC channels and all of them were showing the Ottawa game in Saskatchewan, so weird. Hopefully they fix that for next game.
Edit: I've seen the intro video but does anyone have a video of the Flames stepping on the ice ?

Agree! I know many of us often harp on Raymond's play, myself included, but I thought he had a hell of a game last night. Not only did he get the A on Bollig's goal but he was excellent on the backcheck all night. You could tell he was playing for his spot back. Must feel good to go out against your old team like that. Hope we see him in again for game 4.

After watching that GIF a few times what jumped out at me was Canuck fans applauding and no reaction when the third man enters. The lone Flames fan can be seen turning their head with that WTF, really you're joining in on a 2-1 look?

The start of the game was on Sportsnet.

He was using his speed to get to loose pucks all night - THAT'S the Raymond we need! During the last stretch of the season (heck, most of the season), Raymond wasn't skating. Last night, he was moving his feet. Great game by him.
