For example... Hartley gets fined for putting certain guys on the ice at the end of the last game. So this game he has to watch as Johnny gets brutally slashed in the hands and hit from behind and also watch Bennett get hit right in the head at the end of the game. But because the of the league's problem with having tough guys out at the end of the game... Hartley can't send out his goons to return the favour. He has to just have faith that the league/refs will handle it... I have zero faith in them handling it however. I bet Hartley was sooo tempted to just send out engelland, bollig, ferland, Stajan, and colborne for the last powerplay at the end of the game but let his restraint get the better of him.

Can I just say that every time you post it's like identical to my own views. I feel like we're related.

That headshot on Bennett was brutal and Hartley's hands are tied. He was pissed after the game. You can bet the NHL will be looking at it.

What a great game. Give one of the three stars to the fans!! You do not want to be the Vancouver Canucks coming to the Dome right now.

It looked like we've finally found our game. Doubled Vancouver in hits, much better composure and accurate passing, way more offensive chances. We needed to step up and play physical as it looked like they were pushing Calgary around the first couple of games.

Win the next one, end the series in Vancouver. Go Flames!

Spoiler!
Nice, however, I do like Willie D. He did wonders for Medicine Hat when he was there. He's a great guy and a great coach. A very respectable man in all situations, whether meeting him personally or in game form. Unfortunately it just happens that he landed with the Canucks.

Bieksa saying Ferland has been pretty irrelevant in the series is basically like saying he's been relevant in the series. Laughable comment.

The best part was Bob at the end... Bennett is only 18 now, and he won't be 19 until he's 20. At least that's how I heard it

Fans were amazing. I've always wanted the 'dome to be a really hostile place for opposing teams, and while we've seen great crowds in Calgary before, Sunday night was truly amazing, at least it looked that way on TV. I don't think I even noticed many Canuck fans, it was truly an overwhelming loud, vocally aggressive sea of red.

That's what I call home ice advantage.

I did the same thing, they did a great job. Was definitely easy enough to follow along with all of the english hockey terms in the mix.

Fantastic game for the Flames, not just for the win but for the confidence building and momentum. They looked lost in Vancouver almost the whole time through those two games. It's like they came back here and heard the fans and said "Oh right, we CAN do this". Played their game, dominated all of it, and obviously rattled the Canucks. Couldn't be in a better position heading into another home game tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm not seeing that right now, his Canucks have been gooning it up pretty hard, and while he might have a team full of jerks, he's the puppet master pulling the strings.

So he's either a respectable man who has lost control of his players.

Or he's just another jerk that's gravitated towards a franchise full of them.

I get a kick out of the fact a game 7 years ago is instantly identifiable by a single hit!

How was the volume throughout the game? At one point CBC said it was louder than a jet engine.
