I'd take that with a big grain of salt...

^That^ sounds EXACTLY like the a-hole Canucks fans we're always talking about.
Notice that he doesnt say that HE got socked, rather he didn't like the heckling he got so HE punched someone else and hopes that person suffers a permanent mental disability from it.
Yes, a-hole Canucks fans are not good, and will make it difficult for CPS to take a hands-off approach to the red mile.
That's why it's best if theyre gone by game 5.

Probably not.
But I think the point stands that there should never be an excuse to start fights in the stands or the building premises of a hockey game. It's juvenile, and both participants almost always share the blame for behaving like mindless, chest-thumping idiots.

I have come to realize that The Canucks are ####. Due to this being fact, I have also come to realize that their fans are the flies. When they riot its like flies on a feedlot. I don't like flies.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. 99% of the time someone gets into an altercation at an arena, it is because they are being a d-bag. In my section, we had some good trash talk going with a couple Canuck fans. One took it well, the other took it poorly. But in both cases, they got out of the arena just fine, no direct harassment, no trouble. Because when they left, they didn't try to make a scene.
And if you can't handle a bunch of people pointing out how much the Canucks suck - even if it is the sophomoric and idiotic "sedin sisters" crap - then perhaps you should stay home. Particularly after that embarrassing performance on the ice to end the game.

I don't think its a good idea to wear the opposition jersey in the home teams arena especially at playoff time. It shouldn't be a problem but unfortunately in this day and age you are just asking for trouble.

Really if you are going to go into the opposition building in the playoffs and wear the opposing jersey you better have thick skin. This guy's account sounds like it's missing a lot of information as there's always two sides but one thing I did gather that he was pretty naïve to think that he wouldn't endure some heckling.

When I'm in the opposing building, I fully expect heckling (and have experienced that many times), but I don't let that bother me. What do you expect going into the enemy building? They'd welcome you with open arms?
However, picking fights cross the line, but I'm not sure I'd believe that fan. A guy on the train who's a canuck fan claimed someone tried to pick a fight with him. He gets called out by his buddy and responds with canuck riot agression, yelling and cursing at his friend lol. Yeah, pretty sure his story doesn't check out.

From HF Canucks board ...a surprisingly reasoned view.
Quote:
Been thinking about this for a while but after last night's game I have to give props where props are due.
The Flames are a good team and they are going to be a good team for a long while. There was a time when I couldn't think of their team without my blood boiling. But I actually feel like I could cheer for them now (when they're not playing the Canucks). Their success in bringing in top end young talent like Monahan, Gaudreau, and Bennet is impressive. These guys will be haunting the Canucks for years to come. It makes Edmonton's 'rebuild' look all the more comical.
So, I just can't seem to muster the dislike for their team that I used to....even with Ferland running around

My brother was in the attacking zone last night and I guess someone got a "Where's your daddy?" chant going for Eddie Lack. If that one got going throughout the building it would be hilarious.

Yeah I mean like other posters are saying, you better expect to get heckled if you're wearing a Canucks jersey, which is how it should be. I didn't see any issues at all last night.....Flames fans were heckling and Canucks fans were taking it like champs.
Though all it takes is one idiot on either side.

HAHAHA that actually is kind of funny. I never really noticed it much myself, probably because I am Flames fan but they do mention Bennett's age all the time on the broadcasts lol. Realistically it is really impressive that he is playing like this as an 18 year old with basically zero pro experience. Still kind of funny that it annoying Canuck fans. I can sorta see how it might annoy them.
