whoever sees that pre-game video with Gio talking at the beginning will do their best to lead the flames to victory. He is such a great leader. Worth watching.

Am I the only one that wishes every post-game press conference from the coach be followed by a press conference from a die hard fan from CP just going off on the canucks for the xxxx they pull? Just ripping into bieksa, burrows, and hamhuis. Say all the things that Hartley wants to say but can't.
For example... Hartley gets fined for putting certain guys on the ice at the end of the last game. So this game he has to watch as Johnny gets brutally slashed in the hands and hit from behind and also watch Bennett get hit right in the head at the end of the game. But because the of the league's problem with having tough guys out at the end of the game... Hartley can't send out his goons to return the favour. He has to just have faith that the league/refs will handle it... I have zero faith in them handling it however. I bet Hartley was sooo tempted to just send out engelland, bollig, ferland, Stajan, and colborne for the last powerplay at the end of the game but let his restraint get the better of him.
Not sure if the TV cameras caught it, but after a scrum in the second, Engelland was talking with Edler I think and holding up three fingers then four, and could lip read "I'll take 4 or 4 of you on" probably after starting the conversation reminding him that he took 2 on last game.
That was amazing. It was right around a tv timeout, so I don't know if the cameras would have caught it.
He was yapping with Dorsett, who was one of the guys who ganged up on him in game 2. I think he was telling Dorsett to go one-on-one with him. You couldn't see what Dorsett said, but then Engelland held up his hand and said something like, "I'll take on all five of you next time".
Another thing I don't know if the cameras had a great angle of, but late in the second, Bieksa went back in the zone for the puck, he saw Colborne closing in and just ran away, leaving the puck behind. I don't think I've ever seen a player bail so badly to avoid a hit.
What an electric crowd. I took a beer shower after Bollig's goal, but who cares?
"Where's your Daddy?"
"Let's go Schlemko!"
Amazing.
How about that Bennett kid? 4 NHL games played, 3 points. He didn't get an assist on Brodie's goal, but the screen he threw was huge.

Meh, Hartley played his goon card in game 2. Got his desired results. He found the next gear the players needed and it showed up in spades tonight.
The retaliation/goon card the Canucks played tonight was nothing but self inflicting. Flames won that battle. Hartley reeled his players in and told them to do nothing when they tried.
In that aspect, Hartley has out coached DesJardins.
I am starting to think that the 2 point thing really is an internal joke to the team.
On the post game show talking to Marty Gelinas he suddenly threw that in at one point, like he was just waiting to say it.

Just got home, decided to walk the last 35 minutes to my house up 17th Ave.
If you remove the circumstances (beating Detroit and San Jose to advance to the next rounds in 2004), it was the best playoff game I've been to outside of the 0-3 Sarich/Marleau comeback win vs San Jose in 2008.
Before the game started I saw 1 Canuck fan struggling to push another Canuck fan in a wheelchair through the crowd. So I told her I'd lead the charge and that they should just follow behind me. Lo and behold I caught a wheelchair in the achilles as a thank you. It was an accident... I'm sure...
