When Ferland is on, he is Lucic-esque. Seriously a force on the ice.

Canucks fans are going to hate him even more when he pots a goal or two. And I have a feeling they won't have to wait long.

#Flames Michael Ferland’s mom told him not to hit the Sedins.
“She told me, 'Leave the Sedins alone.' She loves them,” he said.
I hope the sisters realize the only thing keeping them breathing right now is Ferland's mom. Priceless.

Because of that, I took another CPer's advice from way back (can't remember who) and watched the Punjabi broadcast. FAR more enjoyable...and there are enough English hockey terms to get a general sense of what's being discussed!

I turned it at the point when Hughson was saying we'd only had 1 shot so far in the first period...and then Bollig scored right after. Like, maybe only 1 recorded shot there Jim, but, uh, the ice was pretty tilted...

Clean hits tonight and clearly the Sedins were hearing foot steps. 4th line was also very good tonight as all four lines were going hard. Not sure why this team couldn't show up Friday but lets hope that they have the same energy on Tuesday.

Loved Benny's game tonight, but I worry for him sometimes. Kid has to be a bit more careful out there, especially with all the Canucks head hunting out there. That Hamhuis hit could have been a bad one for him. Glad he's ok and not concussed.

The CBC - Flames homerism is unbearable I'm watching with no sound.
- that is truly a quote from HF Canucks...I am not lying.

there are so many more but I just can't. take a gander!

The flames are so fun to watch when they play like tonight. I hope they can keep this going on tuesday night at home again. Here is hoping that the C of Red can be even louder on tuesday. It is amazing how much it can affect a team. Great job by the fans to help.

This is fun

I agree. I watched that replay so many times. Engelland was just holding someone and preventing this guy to go after Stajan. Burrows went after Russell who was just skating by. If Hamhuis and Burrows doesn't get suspended, I am going ballistics.

Hughson was actually good tonight, surprisingly. Mind you, he would've had to manufacture outright lies to paint the canucks in any sort of a positive light tonight.

Not sure if this was discussed, but did anybody notice who it was that chopped at Colborne' hands when he was trying to get back yo the bench after his skate mishap? I'm sure it was Bieksa.

Awesome game for the Flames, solid contribution from the 3rd and 4th line. I don't thing the Canucks have a chance. The fact the Burrows and Bieka are all worked up after the game just proves how well Ferland and Bennet are playing.
