Do not give the canucks coach a fine. Let Calgary dwell and build anger to destroy those clowns.

Any time a young energy guy can get under the skin of a veteran like that to cause such a reaction, you can only imagine that the rest of the team is doubly frustrated.

Bieska is such an idiot. You could tell by his quotes after Game 2 that he was frustrated and Ferland used that to his advantage.

When a team is settled and calm, you don't hear anything like that, which was so great about how calm the Flames were the last few days. Even as Engelland was fighting 2 guys, he looked like he was cool as a cucumber, unlike Bieska fighting Ferland who looked like a guy who just came unravelled.

Vancouver is on the verge of a complete mental collapse at the hands of Hartley once again.

This. The $50k was because of repeat offender. If Willie doesn't, that is bs

These fines are stupid. This is playoff hockey.

Hartley's fine was dumb. If Willie gets fined it will be dumb.

But I guess since Hartley got fined, Willie should too.

(which is dumb)

Absolutely. The canucks can't keep hiding behind the refs. Hamhuis elbow is a head shot.

Off ice officials gave Sbisa a fighting major at the end of the game as well.

If Hartley got 50k, Desjardins should get 500k.

Again, it was Hartley's 3rd infraction for the same thing, so I doubt it

I feel like ranting.

Re: Hartley's $25K fine vs Vancouver in the regular season line brawl

I still have no Freaking clue how Hartley did anything wrong. He starts his 4th line. Why is that fine worthy? Tortorella was the one who escalated that by starting his goons and ordering them to fight our 4th line. Tortorella could have easily matched up his Sedins to go against an inferior line and go for a goal. VANCOUVER and Tortorella was the one to initiative the bad blood. Tortorella was the clown to try to enter our dressing room. But instead Hartley gets the bad rap for it. Doesn't make any sense.

Re: Playoff Gm 2 and Engelland

Engelland gets gooned into a 2-on-1 fight. Engelland somehow gets an instigator and 3 minsconducts. Hartley gets fined $50K because he's a repeat offender. EXCUSE ME? The refs got this completely wrong -- if they were properly doing their job, they should be there to break up the 2-on-1 fight instead of picking their noses. The league gets it wrong by somehow putting the blame on Engelland and Hartley. What a joke.

Re: Playoff Gm 3

-Hamhuis hits Bennett on the head. Unacceptable and should definitely be reviewed.
-Burrows hits Gaudreau from behind, then jabs at Russell's face 3 times before they drop the gloves. The instigator is 100% deserved, but I have a bad feeling it will get rescinded "because Engelland's instigator was rescinded." Which would be horsecrap.
-Bieksa similarly mugs Ferland, punches him with a bare fist 4 times before Ferland is able to lock him up and throw some punches back. Bieksa with a big stupid grin on his face. NO instigator for Bieksa, likely because he went after our 'goon' in Ferland.

Will the NHL properly assess the situation and fix this mess? I have no faith they will. Let the circus continue.

The NHL has to do something to settle down the series, I don't think they will stop at the fine. Burrows has a history so I think they will send a message with a one gamer for him

If you went and read some of the threads on HF (waste of time really) after the last game, most fans (outside of the two teams) didn't think there was anything wrong with what the Flames did after game 2. I am betting these same fans will find what the Canucks did distasteful. Canuck fans will just say idiotic stuff like: "It is because they dislike us", or even my favorite "Embrace the hate". They never realize that not all actions are equal.

There is a big difference from trying to muck it up and try to set the stage for the next game versus complete head-hunting, jumping guys in numbers and sucker-punching behind refs.

If the league fined Hartley for what happened at the end of game 2, they better sure as heck fine Dejardins since I think it went above and beyond what that stuff should be about.

I think it comes from the Canucks being such pansies. They are not 'tough', and don't know how to react when confronted in situations like these, and end up doing this kind of crap (as well as hair pulling, biting, diving, etc) in an effort to create an expected reaction in the game - emotional lift for their team, as well as getting the other team off their game. Doesn't work when they do it. It just solidifies the Flames' resolve (as well as Boston's, Chicago's, LA's and all the other teams that physically destroy the nucks), makes the rest of the league detest them, and makes the refs a bit more wary on their calls for fear of falling for a bad call and looking stupid.

I can understand how Canucks' fans still cheer for them - you grow up cheering for that team and you become a lifer. However, what I can't understand is how they can continually defend them and throw out the 'embrace the hate' crap. People hate your team not because you live in a nice city, or you have had some success, or because you are rivals, or any other ######ed reason. The entire league dislikes your organization because they continually mock the game of hockey, and throw a bunch of hair pulling, finger biting, diving and attempt-to-injure pukes that are detested league wide (Burrows, Bieksa, Kesler, Cooke, Ruutuu, etc).

Dejardins better be getting a fine. I can't for the life of me understand how Hartley got one after what I saw at the end of the last game, and I am not sure what happened at the end of this game deserves it or not - but it is at least closer to deserving it than Hartley was. Plain attempt to injures. That should never be tolerated.

I have no idea about the first, but in no way was Hartley guilty of anything for the two incidents against Vancouver. (Last year opening faceoff, and then game 2)

Bieksa certainly deserved the instigator, but lets be honest here. We're better off with him on the ice.

He and Sbisa have been poor all series. The more those two play, the better off we are.
