I have a pair of seasons 205 row 18, and I kind of prefer the ends. The Green pricing is far superior to the whites and the view is still great.
I'll be sitting in them for game 3 for sure and we'll see what the market bares for game 4. I was going to go to all three games, but some of the prices people are getting for tickets has me considering selling one game.

I got rejection emails for both games but my girlfriend got an email for game 3! Got two tickets in 205 row 14 for $160 each after fees. Happy to pay that much for those seats.

Technically the same. Ticket exchange puts money back in the pockets of the Flames, Ticketmaster and of course the seller. C train guy pockets on his transaction. The ticket exchange is verified ie you can be assured your ticket is legitimate.

Scalping is legal in Alberta.
This site just make it safer to purchase (and sell) tickets.

Selling tickets above face value has been legal in Alberta since November 2009 when the Alberta Amusement Act was repealed.
I'd be happy to say no one is allowed to buy/sell above face value if no one was allowed to buy/sell below face value. If you don't want to pay a premium during the playoffs you have to pay above market value during the year, and you have to do the transaction. You don't want to go to a Sunday Nashville game? Well, you pay a premium for selecting the one playoff game you do want to go to. If people are able to buy heavily discounted during the lower interest games during bad years, they have to be willing to pay higher prices for premium games during great years. That's simple supply and demand.

I don't have a problem with selling tickets above face value, just surprised that the NHL and Ticketmaster are the ones doing it. Kinda seems like a conflict of interest since they are tasked with the fair distribution of tickets at face value.

Thats actually not a bad price, the person selling is only getting about $420 or so from each ticket as there is a fee that goes to ticketmaster.
So really they are marking up a $300 ticket by about $120... not bad compared to some of the resale prices I've seen.

Ticket Exchange is the secondary market, the teams and Ticketmaster are able to keep a portion of that mark up in the secondary market in exchange for facilitating a trustworthy transaction. The Flames lobbied the government for changes to legislation in order to legitimize the secondary market which was previously illegal. Ticket exchange is very convenient for buyers and sellers as well.

The markup by StubHub is a lot higher than the NHL Ticket Exchange.
The payout to the seller is about 70% of the buyer's price on StubHub, while
the payout to the seller is about 89% of the buyer's price on the Exchange.
