Am I missing something? How is it possible to not secure them properly? Don't you just put them on and roll up your window?

For some reason mine won't go up into the window slot very well so it flaps around pretty good. But I can't see how it would ever fall out.

I did not know that store still exists. Let me know if they have any. I'm going to try River City Sports again although last time I was there was about 3 weeks ago and it looked like the owners were preparing for a Jets cup run.

Frameless window?
Mine fell out the other day. Can't pull into parkades or my garage without it clipping. Cracked the window down thinking it would stay put. Nope. 
Thankfully I was right in front of my house.

There is a store on Stephens Ave called Kanata (they sell tourist trinkets) that has flags, standard size for 10 and large for 15.

I've seen so few cars with flags on them - maybe a handful since Wednesday. Maybe demand greatly outstripped supply and there is just not that many out there?
I did have someone park next to me at work who also had a flag - I felt the camaraderie immediately.

I think that is right. Stores were just not ready for the demand because I also haven't seen many cars with flags
