be prepared for severe harassment of which more times than not crossed the line. I can, and have, taken verbal assaults until the cows come home....no big deal.
But that crowd won't just stop at that more often than not. We had drinks thrown at us, some guys were throwing pennies from behind at warp speed that cut one guy open and injured a couple others, one young child had his little flames pendant ripped out of his hands, and several physical altercations occurred both in the arena and outside. It was a gong show. Although it was 26 years ago now, nothing exists to indicate that fan base has evolved or changed for the better one iota.
So be prepared, have a blast, and be loud and proud of the team.

I wouldn't be too worried nowdays. I have been to lotsa Flames games in Vancouver heavily intoxicated, loud, in Flames gear cheering my heart out and haven't had anyone say #### except security. The city knows their team is no good.

That's amazing! Canucks fans really are the worst... can't sellout their own playoff games so the other team has to do it for them
It's actually kind of too bad the return flight is the same night. Would be nice to fly in for the game, light a few cars on fire and return home sometime Sunday.

I'm interested, but I'd like to confirm the flight is a go before buying the ticket to the game.
I'll keep tabs on the flight status.

it wouldn't be very easy for them to postpone a flight due to a hockey game in overtime...I wouldn't think so anyway

It's a charter, so I wouldn't think its outside the realm of possibility.

I'd imagine if this is what they're doing it for they'd delay the plane. They have no official schedule to follow and a flight plan can be altered/updated in minutes with NAVCAN.

If anything, they have gotten much worse. Certainly from 2004 to 2011, that fan base developed into the national embarrassment that resulted in the LA Kings' infamous tweet. The last couple seasons might have taught them a little humility though.
This is mighty tempting, but Vancouver is one city where I have refused to attend a Flames game in, because of the fans. If this gets close to filling up, I might do it anyway. Safety in numbers!

I've only been to a few games here in Vancouver with Flames gear on and people have been generally good. A few people booed me, but that was about it. I'm assuming s### gets real in the playoffs though.

There is only one Fanbase that consistently burns down their own city.

You guys should coordinate so your tickets are in the same section or at least close. You will need allies in that building.

Consistently? Haha, for those of you who know nothing about the actual city of Vancouver: It is filled with 600,000 or so normal, albeit more pretentious/unfriendly people. It's surrounded by huge suburbs which is where all of the fire starters came from. Look up Surrey, it's the home of Lucic. Need I say more?

Hoping they do this for Game 7 if it happens as well, already bought prime lower bowl tix for the same price as our bleeders are going for lol.

The ticket prices the flames are charging are absolutely ridiculous! gouging at it's worst!
Over $100 for bleeders at face value? You can still get PAIRS of tickets for the lower bowl in Vancouver for $170! Or others cheaper here http://www.ticketsnow.com/NHL/Invent...OFFS_RND1_GME2
I looked into flying out, but was still too expensive.
