Flames @ Oilers. GFG!!
A little early, but what the heck.
So I'm sitting here in the BOWELS of RECTALL place, waiting for the Flames to take on the COILERS and I thought I would start tonight's game thread.
My dear wife got me two tickets to tonight's game as a Christmas present, so I've brought my brother along with me and we're settling in. Who knew this would be such a big game?
Our seats tonight are in the 300's, and I must say, I can't ever recall a scene quite like this before. Looking ahead of me are two guys sporting 90's robotic sperm jersey's and classic mullets. To my left a few seats down is another guy wearing, you guessed it, sweat pants. No dress shoes, but the white runners are just as fitting to be honest. And just to mock, I'm snacking on a bag of Old Dutch potato chips (BBQ flavour, of course!)
Must have been a fire sale on Eberle jerseys at some point.
Big crowd though, and lots of talk about crushing Flames playoff hopes. There are almost as many Flames jerseys as there are Oilers, and a "Go Flames Go" chant already starting to build!
For my part I'm Rockin' the Flames Jersey, cheering loud, and have Ring of Fire teed up in the car ready for my post-game celebration and drive home!
Oh - teams out for pre-game skate. Gotta run.
