I would love to see a Flames player get a consideration but I am sorry I have to disagree with you. I would have to say Carey Price, Ovechkin and even Getzlaf as the top 3.
I would definitely agree with you if you are talking about the MVP for the Calgary Flames though. I am not just talking about the stats. He is one of the leader in this team and he seems to like to help young guys in adjusting to the NHL. He is also not afraid to lead by example considering him being small. How many small players in the NHL that you see going in front of the net for the tipped in?
Blaster, I don't think it is as funny as you seem to think it is. There is so much parity this year, an argument could be made for 20 players right now.
Personally, I thought for a while Byfuglien should be considered, but now, I actually think it should be Devan Dubnyk. If you are going on what player has been the most valuable to their team, it is almost impossible to argue against Dubnyk, as he rescued Minnesota's season, and pretty much single handedly willed them into a playoff spot.
The Hart will probably go to a predictable choice, but an argument could be made for a ton of players this year, normally never given consideration. And Hudler has been the glue on that line, and by all reports, has been an absolute stellar mentor, and has kept Gaudreau and Monahan accountable all year.
Unlikely, but it's not as far fetched as it sounds. Hudler is exactly what these young guys need.

OP isn't saying he should win, just that he deserves consideration, which he absolutely 100% does. Will he win? No, but he definitely deserves to be looked at.

Not crazy at all. He won't win. But with Gio out, he's the Flames Hart candidate without question...
Which would be "Hart Consideration" as Turek said.
But Montreal is in McDavid territory without the best goalie on the planet.
I think there is little doubt that since Gio has gone down he has been the most valuable player to this team but there are much better options for the league to pick from this year unfortunately. That said I think Hudler has established himself as a different player this year and could be seen as a higher-end talent now vs. previous years. I'm proud of him and how he has handled himself with taking Johnny and Monahan under his wings, we are a much better team because of him this year that's for sure.
