Im hoping that Nashville and the Blues take it easy on the Flames now that they've clinched. You have to think that they'd prefer Calgary over the Kings in the playoffs. Even though they wouldn't meet the 3rd pacific seed till the second round. If the kings get in, they are a real threat to everyone. Neveryone probably expects the flames to be first round fodder if they get in.

Nashville may want to beat us as they probably want to get the presidents trophy.

Perrault is in tonight, confirmed by Maurice. Maurice also said that Little is now a game time decision for Tuesday vs Rangers. So that means he should be in Saturday vs the Canucks worst case scenario for next weekend.
Then the final week. My stomach is jangled just thinking about it

Just looking at the Jets and Canucks remaining games, they both have a very tough schedule. Vancouver has a pretty brutal 5 games coming up, 4 of which are on the road. The Jets next 4 games are against very good teams; all currently in the playoffs.
I'd still take the Flames schedule for the next 5 over those 2.

If we can win one of the games vs Dallas and St Louis I really like our chances.
3 points would be amazing, 4 would be a miracle.

In line with all the third period heroics this season, I can see the Flames lose the upcoming two games. Then, when all seems lost, they come back and finish the season with four straight wins, just squeezing into the playoffs with a final third period comeback vs the Jets.

We're really chasing Winnipeg, because leading LA is a mirage. While Calgary still has some tough outs, LA plays EDM twice and ARI once. Plus San Jose
That is one easy schedule for a team playing as well as they have been

That's not right, they don't play Arizona. They play Edmonton twice.
We play Edmonton and Arizona.
The season series between SJ and LA will come to the last game, and SJ having nothing else left to play for will be sure to come out hard in that game.
Vancouver is still in the battle for their playoff lives.
Colorado has just been hot lately.
And Chicago obviously is a good team that has proven they can beat LA even at LA's best.

Wouldn't it be funny if all the stars aligned and Edmonton somehow managed to beat LA in one of those games, thrusting the Flames into the playoffs? They did beat Chicago that one time...
Yeah, I know. Not gonna happen.

Just looking at Winnipegs schedule at it is brutal. Very likely to come down to the last game.

If Edmonton sweeps LA I will post that Edmonton is Good in the Edmonton is No Good thread. I'm not worried.

Tonight, perhaps more so than the final two games, is the critical night. A Flames win and a Kings loss would finally create a positive gap.

I can't believe the teams I am cheering for lately. Chicago over Winnipeg, Vancouver over anyone.
While I feel dirty inside, it sure is exciting having a vested interest in so many games at this point in the season.
