What did he do that was so bad when he left the 2nd time? He said he didn't want to be on a rebuilding team. Most veterans at his age and skill would probably say the same thing. Rumours were Cammi wanted out also but he does not seem to get slagged about it like tanguay.

Avs really clog up scoring lanes. Their defense looks like ours.
Having Gio tonight would have really made a different IMO. But there's still a period to go and a momentum swing waiting to happen.

Bad call or not, the Flames had nothing that period.
Problem with playing basically the last 40 minutes last night vs Toronto like a scrimmage is the team was able to get a bit too cute and that's carried through to tonight.
Tanguay with a fluke, no matter if he planned it or not.
Not a lot of testing on Varlomov, and the top line has some good ideas, but being a little bit too cute/not strong enough in executing them and they're getting pushed off the puck a bit too easy. The other lines feed off that top line, and thus you see a pretty lethargic 4 line effort tonight, against a team desperate for a win, or else.
In general the Flames are losing the battle in the Avs zone, and not doing very well with the neutral zone possession either.
