This is going to be too obscure and on-the-nose to stick for a line name, but for the record HMG stands for High Mobility Group. They're a type of proteins.

(Ex-wife is a research scientist specialized in proteomics, it's where I picked that up. No idea what they do, I just remember that name from proof-reading some of her papers )
