I hope the Flames can continue their momentum because this seems like a classic letdown game. By any factor you look at this should be 2 points for the Flames at the end of the night, lets hope that they can keep their focus and don't start looking past this game

I agree. The Flames always have cater to the Eastern Time viewers whenever the Leafs are here. I really hate that. It's Friday, they can stay up late.

In fairness to Rogers though, I think in years past, the CBC did the Leafs @ Flames game as the early game if it was on a Saturday night.

That grinded my gears big time.

Not sure why this is Rogers fault? This is a TSN game regionally for Toronto so the big ratings out east are not going to Rogers.

Flames need this game and the Leafs are very emotionally fragile right now. If the Flames get on them early they should skate away with 2pts. This team doesn't seem to get ahead of itself and takes it one game at a time so hopefullynitnis not a trap game and they look for payback for the loss I toronto earlier this year

First game in Calgary of Dion's return, during a whistle this kind man was helping a Leaf fan adjust his collar

Does it really need context? I mean there's a picture of a Flames fan punching a leafs fan. I guess the context is that if you wear a Flames jersey and see someone wearing a leafs jersey, you should punch them.

I love early starts. I'm in the west coast so it allows me to get off work, watch the game, have the rest of the evening free.

Is there any fan base more delusional than Leaf fans? Now I have to live with seeing the whole fan base honestly think they have a shot at McDavid. They are the most hard headed fan base I have ever seen.

A loss will get them closer to that McDavid dream that won't happen, so I hope the Flames whoop that sad sack of losers to get their hopes up only to be crushed again on draft lottery day. A double win!

I feel that both Oilers and Canucks fans are far more delusional.

The media hype and coverage over what is a consistently bad hockey team is what makes the Leafs hard to take for me, not so much the fan base.

It's just the Leafs. When the Habs came here the game was at 7pm and when they went to Vancouver the game was also at 7pm.

The Canucks have to play the Leafs at 4pm tomorrow!

The problem about the 8pm start tonight, which I normally would love being out here, is that the Raptors are playing at 730 pm and every sports bar will be watching that game versus the Leafs.

I really don't mind the 6pm start. 5:00 is always too early to get home from work on time, and 7:00 (moreso 7:30) usually means the entire night is devoted to the hockey game.

As for the game itself, I expect another slow start, Leafs put in the first one, but Calgary comes back easily and wins without too much trouble. 4-1 Flames (no empty nets).

That is just pathetic, I've got friends in TO that work in IB, my buddy was telling me that before it was like winning the lottery when your boss handed you leafs tickets, now they're having trouble giving them away. Raps are the hot ticket now, although they've been terrible lately too.

So in a sense the early tv times serves them right because I bet the ratings coming out of Ontario won't be any where near what they originally hoped for.

Maybe they'll reconsider next year.......who am I kiddin, it's the leafs.

Suck it Tom.
We should have called up Granlund and Wotherspoon to play against Tom to see whether we made the right trade. I think the answer is obvious.

Leaf fans identify themselves with the team like Cubs fans do to their team.

The difference is the Cubs are loveable losers. Leafs... just losers.
