People here were talking about showing the team their appreciation of the performance on the road trip by giving the team a standing O when they came on the ice last night.

I won't be able to watch this until tonight so was just wondering if this happened.

I feel like a guy who just won an Oscar I have too many players that I want to thank and point out. That being said most have been mentioned already so I will go a different direction.

I just want to say that I am quite happy with the performance of Schlemko since he has joined us. Forget the beauty shoot out goal, I think that he has been a solid addition and I am not sure that we would be in the same position with Potter adding 7 minutes of nail biting shifts each game.

I am not sure why he was waiver bait, and if he continues to play the way he has I think that he will show that he deserves a full spot on an nhl roster.

Oh god. The butthurt around the western conference team forums is boiling over. So many advanced stats guys having aneurisms at the 4 goals on 7 shots or whatever it was.

"It's unsustainable I tell you... UNSUSTAINABLE!"

Well, they have sustained it for 67 games..... and hopefully by the time our luck does run out, it is in October of next year, when we have Bennett, a year older Gaudreau and Monahan, and Brodie, and a healed up Gio.

And that's the best part of this whole troll job. We are 1-2 seasons from being a top level threat, and they pull this stunt this year, and basically raise the middle finger to all the geeks smashing at their keyboards frothing at the mouth that we don't fit a statistical model. By the time we come down to earth, it will be too late for them to say I told you so. Because then, they are just going to be an incredibly fast and talented team.

That.... or they already are a damn good hockey team, with an amazing amount of desire, chemistry. When advanced stats can measure those elements, I'll give them a chance. But they never will be able to, so I won't.

Wild and Kings fans on their respective boards are calling us a playoff team.

If they're believing then everyone in here should be on board after tonight as well.

What a game! Felt like the flames dominated the ducks for most of the game. I don't care what the shots on goal were... Hartley rolled all four lines and the flames were absolutely relentless on the forecheck. There were great scoring chances for every line for the flames tonight. No passengers.

What can be said about Russell and wideman? These guys have been amazing taking more responsibilities with Gio down. Blocking shots, laying hits, putting up huge points. Being leaders in every sense of the word.

And that gaudreau-Monohan-hudler line was flying tonight. What a treat it is to watch the two kids turn into superstars while learning from an awesome pro like hudler. That line easily could have had 3-4 more goals.

Loved stajan's game too. He may not be considered a core player on this team but I think he makes up a big part of the heart that this team plays with. Wish he could have had his hattrick tonight. No one deserves it more than him.

Although we won 6-3, Ramo made 3 saves he had no business making.

Off a cross-crease one timer by Cogliano in the 2nd, the huge glove save on Fleischmann in the 3rd, and then on Palmieri in the last minute of the game.

Flames down by 2-0. Flames come back to win.

So many players with great games. Nothing more can be said about Russell and Wideman, but Stajan, Johnny Hockey and Ramo played well even after being scored on twice in the first 3 minutes.

I love this team!!!!

How about these comparisons:

Anze Kopitar: 13g + 37a = 50p
Sean Monahan: 25g + 23a = 48p
Patrice Bergeron: 18g + 29a = 47p
David Backes: 22g + 24a = 46p

That's good company.

Was pretty tipz by that point but from what I remember a good chunk of the dome stood up and chanted "Go Flames Go" for the final minute. Also most of us stayed standing and cheering throughout the stars selection and Johnny's interview.

My buddy was like "We gotta beat the rush!" and we started walking and then I just looked at him and was like "Dude, we gotta see Johnny get first star.."

Not that it really matters but having Johnny in my keeper pool makes every point that much sweeter. Also I love how before the season started so many of us were comparing/hoping we had a Toews/Kane combo in Mony/Johnny. Man are they ever right on track......and we still have Sammy B.....(waiting for the backlash from CP for calling him Sammy B, kinda got a nice ring to it no?)
