How long have you been gone? Hrudey doesn't play for the Islanders anymore.

Brodie with a couple really good chances. I think he could be a 20 plus goal guy if he worked on his shot a bit.

Excellent first period. I'll take that any day of the week.

Told his family he was going out for some smokes back in 1989, just stumbled back into the house now.

Brodie needs to work on his defensive skills first, please.

They aren't out of this, I think they roll a bit more to start the 2nd knowing they can still play and compete against the best in the league without Gio.

I'm ok with this so far, could have gone better but there are still some positives!

I just would have called a hook or slash instead. I thought it was more of a stick lift and I didn't think it warranted a penalty shot. I'm not going to complain though.

Which is funny because I would say the other 3 penalty killers all made mistakes on the play, not Brodie.

Backlund and Bouma both had opportunities to clear the puck initially, Brodie then blocks the Tavares shot, the rebound bounces over to Strome who Engelland was next to but didn't cover.

I agree, Backlund especially has been turning over the puck too much in that period. Needs to pick it up.

Still leads the team in plus minus. He still makes some bad plays time to time but hes still learning to. I think he's well on his way.

Gosh, some of you guys are so picky. I'm surprised it went so well. Scrambly at times, but the Flames got chances and the goal was bounced over at least four players. Ramo had zero chance on that. I'm actually feeling a bit more confident than I did at the start of the game.
