IIRC, Baertschi and Ortio haven't been on the 'In The System' roster section in a while, if at all. They're on the Adirondack roster or the Flames roster if they're called up.

If the Flamea are confident they can land that college free agent or believe Gillies is their guy long term then I guess Ortio is movable. I rather not trade him though

When guys like Franson and Sekera are landing the value they are as rentals, you have to expect Yandle, with term, will bring in more!

Raymond, Baertschi, 1st '15 + ...

(And Yandle > Franson / Sekera)

Maybe Frank from How to get away with murder was "getting rid of Mason's contract and Sven and Ortio found out so he had to get rid of them too...
Or we're getting OEL. Check other teams to see who is missing from their rosters, come on guys!

I guess we will know when the horn sounds after the Kings or San Jose game.
Maybe he is headed to Detroit or Ottawa.

Why? Who says Ortio isn't on the board?

Maybe with Ortios one way status next season, they prefer to trade him and instead roll with Ramo and Hiller next season? Then have Gillies and an AHL backup/Thiessen as the Stockton goalies? Doubt it happens, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Like I said. Probably nothing but this has happened before where the player was taken off the roster on the site only to find out the trade later in the day.

When I just looked at the adirondack site, Sven and Ortio are on the roster page. So I don't get what you are on about here...

I'd puke if we payed a premium to get Yandle. He's completely superfluous on our roster with Russell and Wideman. And before someone points out he pushes one of those two to the bottom pairing, he doesn't add any stability in our own end. He's all offense. Giving up a high price for a player like that makes no sense.

The Flames website may be the first one updated and has no connection to the Adirondack site.

Whilst I agree getting Yandle is a bad idea, he is most definitely not a gong show in his own end. He is significantly better than Wideman defensively IMO.

Indeed. The priority in a hockey trade is shutting down the players network access and access cards. Plus modifying the public facing web page. That is much more important then filing the trade with the NHL, notifying the players, and making a public release.
