This team is getting on my nerves tonight. Okay first period - not bad but not great. They have jump but a lot of plays are getting broken up. Still 40 to go though.

This is the kind of stuff I hate reading. Well all know he's on his way out so what's the point? If you want to talk about play, fine, but comments like this are completely unnecessary.

After the way we played much of the game last night, that is an extremely disappointing performance in the first period.
This team simply needs to learn how to be as desperate in the first period as it is in the third or there will be no playoffs.

Yes and Hartley has touched on this before, if they knew why the team plays like this he would bottle it up and sell it!
Let's just hope we see a win tonight. Playoffs will be tough being down by 4 to the teams ahead of us.

Here's part of a Flames.com article from a few days ago. NJ is his homestate, but Philly is much more his hometown than Newark is.
Quote:
“I get to go home towards Philly and I spent the last three years in Boston so I get to go there, too. It’s going to be a fun road trip for me.
“Getting to go back towards your home area, you’ve got family and friends who are going to be at almost every single game. I have family and friends coming to the game. It’s pretty exciting.”
Carney’s Point, NJ, home to the Gaudreaus, is just 35 miles from Philadelphia. Conversely, it’s about 110 miles down the New Jersey Turnpike to Newark -- the home of the Devils.
