Guess the NHL rule book doesn't apply to the New York Rangers tonight.

They did on SN too. Hrudey mentioned that they didn't even tell him they would be honoring him. It was a surprise.

Bad reffing aside, the Flames have been outplayed in this period. They're gonna need to play with a little more desperation if they wanna get out of here with 2 points.

These refs are a joke. We need to come out and say publicly we don't get decisions during games

I dont even think the two breakaways were penalties, but every shift the rangers are getting away with stuff.

I mean I'm seeing a LOT of obstruction. More than I have in many years. I rarely complain about refereeing too because it usually evens out, but this is getting stupid.

There's more to it than that. When you know the refs are picking sides, you get nervous about playing aggressively. Same deal as the LA Kings game.

Maybe it's just that you dont really see it, or if Hartley does it as the ref passes?
I just remember a handful of times when Brent flagged down a ref to the bench and told him what he thought

Not going to get a lot of traction when you are already the last penalized team in the league

That LA game was bull#### man, some of the worst obstruction I've ever seen since 2004. Blatant arm in holding, one King even sat on Bouma behind the net. Bouma trying to get up and he's being held down like a drowning victim, ref was staring right at it too.

Maybe, hard to compare them but I certainly have seen Hartley losing his mind at the refs a few times. The problem is that could hurt more than it helps some times depending on what is said and to which ref I suppose.
