Point was more that GM's get desperate around this time of year. Not Glencross/Erat comparison.

Erat had 58pts in 61 games the year before he was traded and averages .58ppg the year he was moved. Glencross has never cracked 50pts and is scoring slight less at .54 ppg this year. He also wants a big long term contract. I disagree he had more value than Erat would have when traded.

Yes, we all know you hate Stajan. Despite him being the best face off guy on the team and almost single handedly stabilizing the fourth line (and Bollig), and, by all reports, being a leader.
But aside from that, the fact you don't have a good opinion of him doesn't change the fact that he is on the team. At centre. BTW, so are Colborne and Jooris and, reportedly there are some prospects named Shore and Arnold. And some kid named Bennett.

I think Oduya is 3-4 in defenseman icetime for the hawks, value is right and both are UFA's but I suspect Oduya is more important to Chicago than Glencross would be. At best Glencross would be the 3rd line LW'er.

We all know Sam is going to be a stud. When? Maybe next year, maybe in 1-3 years. Very young yet. Colborne has impressed me this year. Jooris has as well, but jury is still out on him. And sorry, i forgot Shore and Arnold have shown just as much as Eller has. Ya, we dont want Eller. Were just content where are are. My apologies.

And top 4 D are far more valuable for a playoff run than depth wingers. If Oduya had term left, fair enough as they need to shed dollars. They're both expiring contracts so I fail to see how Glencross = Oduya

TB has two firsts. The flames should be angling to get one.

Your earlier post talked about Stajan not being here in a few years which is exactly when Bennett will be hitting his stride. This team is deep at centre, and not a defence and right wing. So, no, getting Eller is not a priority.

While i disagree with the statements about Stajan, i must say i've always liked Eller. Does he play alot on the wing? He's got size and a little attitude....

Two UFAs for one of the best goalie prospects in the league? Sure I'll do that. Anaheim might not be as eager.

He could fetch us a 1st, especially if there is a bidding war. I agree he's not worth that, but stranger things have happened. I don't have high hopes for a 1st, but it's ridiculous to completely discount the possibility.
From Tampa Bay I would be targeting any of Dylan Blujus, Brett Connolly or a draft pick.

Agreed. The reason why so many are dismissing the idea about Glencross commanding a high return is possibly linked to the absence of a market for forwards in last year's TD. But the problem here is that markets are not static, and tend to fluctuate—sometimes wildly—from one season to the next. I would say that the Perron trade and the Kane trade already reveal that this year's market is substantially different than last years, and looks to be a more palatable one to produce a higher return for Glencross than for Cammalleri last season.
