That was deliciously great. It never really occured to me just how infuriating our great season would be for all our rivals. Loving the hate.
Funny part is it wasn't luck or choking, it was simply..."the third period Flames"...who dominate any and every opponent in the final 20 minutes, regardless of how the game is going to that point. You can't stop them. You can merely just sit back and watch in awe.
Okay except for that OT goal, that was some happy gilmour s###. BUT we would've slayed them in the shootout anyways.
Loved the business-like response from hudler and monahan on the 2nd goal... No big celly - just a nod to each other and back to the bench. Two more goals to get the two points. Meanwhile, in the oiler game, yakupov mocks the crowd on his second goal celebration and the oilers end up deservedly losing that game.
I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I'll say it anyways...
After that icing call, Hartley called a timeout. Monahan won the faceoff against one of the best (Krejci).
Monahan is really impressive. That was a really huge play that sometimes goes unnoticed.
Haven't heard a post game call in show like this in a while. The fans are utterly content with the team this year and prepared to sit back and watch. Great to hear to positivity surrounding the team from the fans.
What would be fun to do is if we could some how dig up a post game show from the 1998 or 1999 timeframe, during the darkest of the dark years, to compare.

Loving this team, probably the best part about last 10 game stretch is that you could argue that Jones, Bouma or Raymond have been our best forwards. Not saying they def have been but you can at least throw them into the discussion these days along with Hudz, Mony, Gaudz and Backs. love this team right now!
A few thoughts about the game:
Monahan with a solid 2 point night. That kid just gets better and better.
He has the same number of points as Bergeron, and is on pace for a 54-55 point season. Not far off from being the 60 point, strong two-way guy expected from most top line centres today, in just his second season. That's impressive.
I think Gaudreau needs to sit another game in the presser
Ridiculous.
He's a point a game, top line player for us.
Hartley said it tonight, Johnny didn't have his best game but they put Byron up there for a few shifts to get their feet moving. They put Johnny back because he can create a goal at any moment and sure enough he assisted on one.
Complete over reaction to suggest he needs to sit out an entire game.
He's a catalyst out there and we're at a critical juncture in the season.
