Help! iTunes Encryption Password

Hey all,

I just have a quick question if someone doesn't mind helping me out with. When I try and restore backup from iTunes for my iPhone, it asks me for a password. I've tried I think, every password I've ever used, lowercase, without numbers, windows login, 01234, 0000, etc and nothing works. Any tips? I don't recall ever setting a password with this.

For me leaving the password field blank worked, but this page gives a few more suggestions as well

Yup, tried all those. I have the latest version of iTunes as well and it doesn't allow to leave the password field blank (the OK button is blanked out unless something is entered).

Isn't it supposed to be your Apple ID password? The one you use when you install an app.

Hopefully you figured it out already.
