Heh...you Flame fans are hard on a guy that is probably the 12th or 13th forward on your team...I never noticed the guy coasting for the 'Hawks when he was with my guys...he doesn't run around, and look for stupid penalties...he out scored the likes of Burish and Eager when THEY were the 12th forward on the squad...sure, it's best to spot him in and out of the lineup based on matchups...but, you know what you are going to get from the guy...

Actually, thats kind of the problem. We arent getting what we thought we would and hes been very inconsistent.
Initially I was a proponent of acquiring Bollig, but hes been vastly underwhelming.

I think the problem has been that until lately he hasn't been providing the muscle he is supposed to bring. We can find lots of guys who won't run around take stupid penalties.
By the way these daily practise reports are getting to be my favourite threads. Thanks sureLoss.

I assume Bollig will be scratched for Glencross.

I actually have nothing against him as a 13th forward, but it probably wasn't a necessary trade at the time.
There had to have been a player just as good that we could have had for free.

I don't think Bollig has played that bad for us. He has done a decent job in the limited role he has been given. He's met my expectations of what I thought he'd bring.
I just believe that given the opportunity, lots of our younger prospects could fill that spot and bring maybe a different and more dynamic look to that 4th line.

With glencross back in I presume Bollig was going to be scratched anyway. Not a big deal if he is sick.
Interesting 4th line for flames. Have to think they might be able to take advantage of opposing 4th line in the skill department .

Was hoping for Ramo. I think Hiller was not so strong against PIT, the first goal was not all his fault I know, but he was too deep in net.....and Ramo was spectacular in that 2:0 victory in Shark tank in November. Just my opinion.

They got him for a late third round pick in a weak draft. They basically got him for free.

That's Hudler, Russell, and now Bollig who have been sick recently. Sounds like something is making its way through the team.

Exactly...and on top of that he was locked in for 4 years at a very affordable price. So the deal made sense at the time. Hopefully he continues his recent play and if the Flames make the playoffs he will be a very valuable guy to help those who have never been through it.
Unless Matteson Iacopelli comes back to haunt the Flames....it was as low a cost deal that was out there.
