I would say no. Probably more of a chance that glencross comes back from injury next game, putting Raymond in pressbox and one of Wolf or Sven sent down.

You have to send them back if there's not going to be ice time for them. I want more than anything right now for Wotherspoon to take one of the 5-6 spots permanently. He was ready last year before his shoulder injury, no reason to hold this chap back. Let the reigns loose damnit!

I'd like to see Wolf for Bollig, just for experiments' sake. And to spice up a sure to be boring Minnesota game.

But then again we're playing against direct competition for a wild card spot, so maybe not smart to risk any kind of potential defensive liability.

How has no one come up with a Davey Jones pirate gif by now? CP, you disappoint.

I liked Diaz in this game. The guy has some jump. Gotta wonder what a Wotherspoon-Diaz pairing would feel like...

I was at the game, so no benefit of replays or PVR. But the Flames were visually very good, and totally dominated from the second period onward.

All 4 lines were good. Even Raymond was quite good (missed out on an assist by one pass, but was instrumental in the goal) and he looked pretty good on the PP in the second. Bouma and Jones did some really good banging, Byron was a forechecking machine, Johnny went to the net and roofed one like I've wanted him to do, the defence was good (except Engelland still can't make a first pass very well). I thought the 4th line was fine, and I never once got nervous like in the early season when they couldn't get the puck out of the zone.

Colborne played really well despite the two offensive zone penalties. Jooris was really effective, and Backlund was a possession guru.

And the top line has allayed my fears about defensive play. Monahan is responsible enough, Hudler isn't bad, and Johnny - well he tries in his own zone and is a good surehanded outlet.

And Hiller was very very solid.

Great win!
I definitely wouldn't mind seeing any of our 3 callups in next game though.. Bollig doesn't do anything, Engelland was the worst D today and Raymond was ok but still a giveaway master.
Everyone else was pretty dang good.

I hope he keeps #86. Seems fitting.

Bah. Bollig was just fine in his role. I think you are looking for Raymond giveaways - he didn't have any more to my eye than anyone else, and he wasn't credited with any. Having a pass tipped and go to an opponent isn't a giveaway, and if it was, Johnny would have had about 8 tonight.

He made a fantastic pass to Stewart at one point though.

The whole barn did a collective groan on that one. Luckily nothing bad happened.

I thought Diaz had a great game tonight and hope we see more of that from him. With how much our offence is driven by the top 2 d pairings it was great to see someone on the third pairing finally step it up. Just think how solid this team would be from top to bottom if the third pairing was consistently playing on the level of the first two. For this reason I'd like to see what Wotherspoon can offer. He seemed pretty capable during his callup last season, so why not?
