He has another mode he plays when he's pissed. It's terrifying. He stops everything and throws punches. It's a rare sighting though.

Just aren't winning the board battles. Flames are just too small compared to the Ducks. Luckily there are some bigger guys in the system pushing for spots.

Johny with 2 terrible giveaways, one ends up in the back of the net & our PP continues to be a joke. If we capitalize on just one of those, this is a whole new game. We have been lucky to win recently with such a poor pp and I hope tonight isn't the night it costs us.

Nothing Ortio can do on those but perhaps you go to hiller in the second to spark something up front?

Why can't the Flames do what they've done all trip on this rink? Why do all the bounces suddenly go against us as soon as we get to Anaheim? That building is ####ed. I don't get it. Every time we come here it looks like the ducks have all the open ice in the world, and we have to scratch and claw just to put one in.

I didn't expect it would be easy, but I didn't expect the B.S. to come out full force right out the gate. Ridiculous.

Size is really looking like a factor for the Flames in this one. They look timid.

I'm not in the bigger-is-always-better camp, but if you're relying on speed and skill instead, you better be able to bury your chances - particularly on the PP. And if your PP sucks against a big team, they're just going to beat you up more.

Hopefully they have better luck next period.

I'll take the heat on this one guys. I was the one that was certain the streak would be broken tonight. Funny thing is, the Flames are actually playing pretty well, just awful handling traffic in front and deflecting pucks past Ortio. Ridiculous.

You could see it happen right in front of your eyes. When the Ducks got that first goal the confidence just immediately left the Flames for at least 5 minutes until they got on the PP, which also didn't look confident. They picked it up after the 2nd PP, but obviously it's in their heads.

Kris Russell is not allowed to play in Anaheim anymore. 2 goals tonight from missed coverage/own goal deflections, and then he had a shot from the corner go off his skate in the last game. He's got terrible luck here.

JG had an awful period in terms of turnovers, and he really hasn't been that good the last few games. Really like Monahan and Hudler in that period.

Doubtful we get a win tonight, so it will have to wait another year, but I want to see the Flames at least play hard the rest of the way. Don't make it easy for Anaheim.

I'd agree with that. He's big in the same way that Bouma is big. Not stature but style.

Bouma has 20lbs on him, but you know what I mean
