Success rate for both the chance generating Paul Byron and the rest who don't? Exactly the same... there's zero question the effort is there but there's nothing to show for it.

So we can get him a nice participation ribbon for trying hard? I can appreciate the feel good story that is Byron but at some point the effort is going to become meaningless if he isn't doing anything with those chances.

Disagree. I thought his hustle and chances on the PK turned the tide on the momentum and helped ignite the Flames' pushback.
It is possible to contribute in other ways than just points

He wouldn't get a bad rap if it wasn't for the fact we have a few freeloaders on the team already Raymond, and Bollig. Coupled with the fact that someone from the farm team could probably do exactly what he does.

I believe the theory is that even if you fail to snag the puck, by hitting it with your hand moving down and away from your body, you'll have some level of control as to where it will go. You're more likely to direct the rebound towards an area of the ice from which you're already in position to make the save.
The windmill catching style can deflect the puck much more erratically if the goalie doesn't completely grab it.

Loubo comes across as a bully. I can see why he was taken off the Flames games now, rumours of being hard to work with etc. Constantly talking down to Wils. It's ugly.
