Wait - I can remember it: Dec. 27.

Hartley is normally fairly intuitive about unique hockey situations. It would not surprise me if Drew Shore drew (pun intended) into the line-up tonite to face off against his brother.
p.s. hat-tip to Dion for providing me with a sig pic he created.

Easy to say this is the biggest game of the season so far.
Backlund on a 5 game point streak and a big game player, safe to assume this will be extended. Gaudreau was supposed to fold against a team like L.A, but instead scores a natural hat trick against them.

If we make the playoffs by bumping out the Kings I think I'd feel bad.
For a hearbeat or two, then the elation would kick in!

True - but its tough seeming him take cheap shots and that smug Doughty just skating away.

Treliving was just on Hockeycentral at Noon. What I remember being said.
 1.Playoff contention hasn't changed plans.

 2. No appetite for throwing prospects or picks or future for trade deadline pickups. Keep long term approach.

 3.Recent struggles weren't a lack of work.

 4.Special teams need to improve.
5.He's impressed by what Hartley has been able to pull out of individuals. He fits like a glove as to what this team needs. Never met him before coming to Calgary.

6.Impressed by Monahan as a young player being able to take the toughest assignements.

 7. Impressed by Bouma as he wonders how he can carry on after being in serious pain. He's a glue type guy.

 8. Joni Goalie. Conroy and Bob high on kid. He's real confident which rubs off on team. Rough start in Adirondack but has come on to be an all star. Impressive but not anointing him yet.

Yet another reasonable interview by Treliving, pretty much echoing everything we think here again..

Isn't the point of a nickname to be short and easy? I like Ortio

Are we going to have Sean Centre, Jiri Right Wing, Kris Defenseman and Bob Coach?

Okay I kind of like Bob Coach

Because of Martin Luther King Day, the Clippers are playing a game at the Staples Center this afternoon (in fact, it's just starting now), so we can expect the ice to be extra crappy tonight.

It kind of goes with Johnny Hockey but Joni is like the Finnish version of Johnny. I guess we need to find a defenseman with a first name that's a derivative of Johnny and we'll be set!
