I still quite enjoy them and make best efforts to watch each and every one.
I thought the stadium series last year was excellent. LAK/ANA outdoors in California!!!

Too many games, too many repeat teams. Yawn.

They should just combine the All Star weekend with the Winter Classic.
Have all the all stars participate in a skills competition and scratch the all star game and replace it with the Winter Classic.

This would actually be one that would be fun to watch because of the history. Two original 6 teams that genuinely hate each other. They both seem to be equally matched too which would make it even better.

There's an upcoming one this season (February 21) in the new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara between LA and San Jose. I kind of like the ones in the atypical climates too - though something about the outdoor games with a little snow falling and the goalies wearing toques is also cool.

Same teams every time... I guess they included Montreal this time which is out of the ordinary, but it seems as though they've been part of about 8 other outdoor games that it's starting to get boring.
Let me guess, winter classic '17 = Detroit v Pittsburgh
Winter classic '18 = Philly v Chicago
Winter classic '19 = Washington v Boston
Rinse repeat.

Minnesota needs one of these games too IMO, and Colorado.
Colorado - Detroit in Colorado would be a good throwback to past rivalries.
Minnesota vs Dallas in Minnesota would also be interesting for the locals.

I still like the Winter Classics.
Granted, I usually watch them viciously hungover due to poor decisions the night before, but they're still okay.
But the Habs/Bruins thing is getting old.

Retread teams and a retread host. I think I mostly just watch these because I enjoy hockey.

There's a lot of money to be made off putting those specific east coast teams in this showcase each year. They're the biggest draws in the league. People continue to fill the stadiums, and ratings are still great (although I think this year wasn't as good - not much of a rivalry). Personally, I watch every game. Even this year, a game I said I wouldn't watch and didn't care about, I still watched.

they should ahve two outdoor games per year - one involving two eastern teams and two western teams - maybe make it a double header.
Move teh games around to have different teams involved (i.e. the Hawks get a break for a few years)

I guess it's cool if it's snowing, like I think the very first one when Crosby scored in a shootout in the snow to win it. But most of them meh. The suggestion above to scratch the all star game and replace with winter classic + skills comp is a good one. Plus it makes me kind of resent the big market US teams haha.

I like the outdoors games but last year was pretty ridiculous in terms of volume (6 games, 5 if you exclude the Canucks game in BC place.)
Minnesota would be a great game. Lambeau Field would probably be a great venue but I'm not sure which teams you'd want to schedule for that. I want to see a Flames/Oilers outdoor game.

A NHL team needs to be in Milwaukee simply for this alone.
I'm surprised the next one isn't in Denver/Minnesota. Those teams are due and we've already had a game in boston in 2010.

Odd, I was under the impression that Minnesota was getting next year's game. Maybe NBC didn't think they'd be a big enough draw and they'll have to settle for a Stadium Series game. If Minnesota hosts one, I assume they'll play against Dallas (wearing the old North Stars uniform).
If the game is in Boston, I wonder if they'll play it at Fenway again, or go to Gillette Stadium (which may be difficult because it's during the NFL season)? They could also do it at one of the College stadiums in the area. The stadium at Boston College should be able to handle at least as many people as Fenway.

With all the constant talk and rumours of relocation or expansion I've never even thought of considering Milwaukee but it probably would be a good choice. They would have an immediate rivalry with the Blackhawks and Wild.
