I really don't get some peoples mentality when it comes to ex flames, the only flame on that list that I'm glad is gone is Butler. Cammy, Iggy, Tanguay, Jackman, etc were all good flames, I'm glad to see them all doing pretty well.

5 assists for Cammy.. Pretty Sad. Hanging out for one timers too much perhaps?

Glad to see Iggy doing well. I'm hoping he'll go on a tear the second half of the season like last year. If Duchene and others in Colorado step up I think they have a good shot at the playoffs.

I know Bouwmeester had a good year last year, and there are other factors but at this point I'd make the Bouwmeester trade straight up for Emile Poirier. Probably the most exciting prospect not named Bennett on the farm team.

Fully agreed. When you add in that we got Smith for the garbage that is Berra I don't see how anyone could not like that trade.

Jokinen's not scoring, but I gather he's been useful as a shutdown guy.

But-but-but… how will we ever survive without Cammalleri’s scoring?

Tough to get assists when nobody else on the team is scoring goals.

They started slow but as of late have looked great together. Both playing with confidence !

It's good to see the two of them getting to keep playing together. There is undenialble chemistry right there.

In summation, this is the formula for a successful rebuild. Right here. This.

Liked and respected all those guys, except for those bums Comeau and Galliardi.
I wouldn't undo the Bouwmeester trade but I would love to have him back. He played fantastic under Hartley for those 33 games before getting traded. It's a shame that the Bouwmeester we thought we acquired in 2009 didn't show up until 2013

Put Bouwmeester with Russell and bump Wideman to the third pairing with Smid. Pretty solid D in theory. Still glad we traded him though.

Don't want Bouwmeester back ever. I've never seen a guy with less passion or heart to go along with a superior skill set. I'd sooner have Comeau back on this team.

That Cammalleri contract. Yikes! Lou Lamoriello will probably go into the hall of fame one day but his work has been largely mediocre for over a decade now.

I know as fans of the team, it's tough to see some fan favourites leave and you genuinely want to see the team have success with those favourites. Some of those guys were here for a while and you're used to seeing them wear the jersey.
Having said that, great post. Tanguay and Iginla may be 1 & 2 on team scoring, but 0.64ppg for Iggy and 0.68 ppg for Tanguay aren't anything special. As of now they both have 27pts and we've got 4 players, including Brodie and Gio, who are above that. Glencross, Monahan and Wideman are only a couple points behind. I don't miss any of them one bit.

Curtis Freaking Glencross is only 1 point behind both Iggy and Tanguay, what's up with all the "lazy passenger" talk?
