I have no reason to feel good about this one but for some reason I do. First laugher for the Flames in a while. 6-1 for the good guys.

Expecting to lose tonight so I'm not disappointed later. I'm not a pessimist just a realist. I hope Ortio gets the start I just want to see what he can do.

Going tonight as a fan. The last time I witnessed a flames win in Rogers arena, tony amonte and Steven reinprecht scored goals in the shootout.

This team is on a pretty bad slide right now. The two (four) points is almost secondary to how they come back from last night. Another sloppy, lackluster game and you can almost start seeing the playoffs slip away.
Hope they come out and kick some arse, play Flames hockey, and of course pick up two points. I'm not holding my breath though...

I got a bet with a co-worker over the season series between CGY and Van, after tonight I have a feeling I am going to owe her a bottle of Vino.

Sorry but this makes you a real pessimist. It needs to eventually end, I have a good feeling tonight is the night. The boy's are gonna win it for Mcgrattan since he won't be in the lineup to blast one in from center like last year

Calgary Flames @NHLFlames
Bob Hartley says he is still making decisions about his lineup and starting goalie. An update will come close to game time. #CGYvsVAN

We really need our goalie (whoever starts) to steal one for us. We seem to lack confidence lately and believing your goalie will cover for you when you make a mistake makes for a lot better offence.

thymebalm is 0-7-2 in enemy territory (at least). Trying again tonight. Bought a set this morning, center ice in the 300s. go flames go!
Highlights include,
6-1 L last gmae last season, Johny Hockey's first NHL goal.
3-2 SOL on line brawl night
3-2 OTL last time the boys came to town.
I can't dredge up all the other losses right now, but it's been tough.

Joe Nieuwendyk is a guest analyst on HNIC.
Flames game will be called by Dave Randorff and colour guy is Garry Galley.

If the Flames don't learn how to play defence pretty soon, this road trip is gonna be an absolute gong show, and any hope of the playoffs will likely be extinguished. Especially considering the competition we're facing. I doubt we'll see Ortio tonight. I have a feeling Bob is gonna put Hiller right back in there so he can rebound from last night's debacle. If the Flames can somehow find it in themselves to play smarter in their own zone and use their speed, they'll have a chance to pull this one out.
My bold prediction: 3-2 Flames in a nail biter.

FWIW Cameron Close (Adirondack PbP guy) is saying Ortio will be the starter tonight.
Not sure if he is assuming or has actual information.
