It probably isn't, but as a marketing manager, I would tip my hat to Sony if true. That would be off-the-wall amazing.

A big part of me wants to believe this is actually true.

Yeah, it would believable except for those nasty emails that were leaked as well. Though, I could see Sony maybe wanting to do a bit of housecleaning by leaking those. "Yeah, Sandler you're overpaid and you don't make us much money, don't be a primadona!"

Saw this on YouTube just now and came to post it. Good move by Sony. Anon had promised to release it tomorrow if Sony didn't do it.
I imagine it will make quite a bit of money in direct sales which I will fuel future release to YouTube etc titles from major studios

Pretty bad
Watching it right now and is pretty bad. Wife suggesting ffwd and hope it gets better. Total spoof on them and real bad at that. I think Sony us trying to sell it as it would crash and burn in a theater imho.

It was an average movie for sure. It was a stoner/ drinker movie.I did like it overall. Intoxication helps out a lot. It was no super troopers or Jim carry/ Mike myers quality style of slap stick but It was enjoyable as a movie you'd see at home and not cinema.

Depends on the device and current software.
My Asus tablet couldn't get HD version but my Nexus 6 only had an HD option .

nothing that bad was really leaked, it was all just a bunch of Hollywood folk picking at one another.

I thought it was ok. I just felt that Franco's character was so dumb that it actually made it less funny.

Just watched the movie. I thought it was ok, at best.
Many parts were drawn out way longer than they should've been and the movie would've been better if it were 30 minutes shorter.
I can definitely see why NK would be upset with the movie though.

People's salaries, social security numbers, phone numbers, addresses, health information and more were part of the leaked information.

Really? I thought Team America was way more offensive. At least in the Interview, they didn't make Un look like a total ######. As far as I'm concerned, it was a whole lot of huff over nothing.
And for what it's worth, I enjoyed the movie. It was exactly what I was expecting out of a Rogen/Franco comedy.

Yeah, I don't care if it makes me stupid, I like Franco and Rogen. I thought this movie was good, pretty much exactly what you'd expect.

Definitely better than I was expecting.
Franco was either badly miscast (and yes, I know he cast himself) or just not trying.
But on the whole, not awful.

"Firework"
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?
Do you ever feel already buried deep six feet under?
Screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in you?
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July
'Cause, baby, you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe
You don't have to feel like a wasted space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow
Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will glow
And when it's time you'll know
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July
'Cause, baby, you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through-ough-ough
'Cause, baby, you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Apparently black market demand for the movie is incredibly high in NK. It commands a price that is much higher than other illegal films in the North. The NK government is freaking out and trying to crack down on distribution of the movie.
Quote:
More and more North Koreans are becoming aware of the North Korea-mocking movie “The Interview,” and the government is doing everything to block it from getting smuggled in to the country.
According to Free North Korea Radio, an online radio network made by North Korean defectors, demand for “The Interview” has been shooting up among North Koreans. It says people are willing to pay almost $50 a copy of the movie, which is 10X higher than what a regular South Korean TV show’s DVD would cost in the black market.
In response, North Korea’s State Security Department and The Ministry of People’s Security held an emergency meeting recently, and told its officers to make sure the movie doesn’t make it into the country under any circumstances.
