On the powerplay, the Oilers' defence struggle to control the puck so much. Every single pass, they seem to need to stickhandle more than most would to get it under control. So much hesitation, so little confidence.

Crazy Belesky has 14 goals, I would venture to say he finishes the season with under 20

how come Hall wasn't called for tripping or interference on that goal?
Is it not tripping because it wasn't the stick and was it not interference because the man had the puck? Is falling over into players a legitimate strategy? Are the oilers on the way to something special here?
(but really? why no penalty?)

Haha silly Oilers couldn't even get the goalie pulled until there were 15s left. Only losing 2-1 to the Ducks looks better visually though.

I really love how Sportsnet goes with Fasth as the first star, as the losing goalie. Rakell as the second star and then another Oiler as the 3rd star... I guess only losing by 1 is like a win for the Oil

You can trip with your legs for sure - I've seen it called. Sliding into a puck carrier? Probably legit.

Don't know why Duck fans booed Schultz. They should be so happy with his choice.

Same reason we'll boo Erixon when Columbus comes here even though Granlund and Wotherspoon will likely turn out better than him.

A guy chose to play in Edmonton over Anaheim. You have to boo just for that.

I like the idea of laughing at Schultz instead of booing him.

Nahhh. He's a dick, and would have not developed there either. Mind you, he would have been traded to Edmonton for a small forward.
