Thumbs up Nintendo DS = Best Handheld EVER!

I picked up my DS-Lite on the day it came out and I love it! Bright screen, small, and the battery life just goes on forever! They are coming out with a TV tuner and soon you'll also be able to surf the internet with it. And the cool thing is it's compatable with all the GameBoy Advance games, which means you have a library of titles to choose from.

The only bad thing about it right now is there aren't a whole lot of great games for it, but that will change. Zelda, Final Fantasy, and a whole bunch of other highly-anticipated games are coming out for it by the end of the year.

Who else here has a Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS -Lite?

I bought a DS when it first came out because I wanted a back-lit screen for GBA games. Took me over a year before I actually bought a DS game (Worms).

I had an old DS, sold it to buy a 360. But just ordered a Lite and World Cup 06 (Suprisingly good game) so I can play it on the plane to Hawaii.

I have several games for it already. New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing Wild World, and the GBA's Namco Museum Classics and Final Fantasy IV.

Picked one up last week. Have the New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, Zelda:Link to the past (old super nintendo game), and Zelda:Minnish Cap.

A great handheld to travel with. No matter the flight or wait in the airport the battery will last the entire time! A great buy and great to be abel to play the games that first got my hooked.

Can't see this happening to me. There's no COD 2 or NHL 2k6 for DS... lol

What game keeps you enthralled to your DS? Just curious. I heard PHoenix Wright is amazing but you can't find it anywhere.

I haven't played Phoenix Wright yet, though I've also heard it's good.

So far it's been New Super Mario Brothers, Nintendogs, the Mario Kart one, and suprisingly the Dragon Ball Z fighter (it's actually quite good).

Haven't even touched the Final Fantasy, Animal Crossing, or half a dozen other games I want to play.

What about the PSP? Isn't it any good? I was considering getting one of those since you can listen to music and watch movies as well, but I don't know.

It simply uses a wireless router. If you don't have one, get the USB wi-fi key from bb or futureshop to connect the DS to the internet.

If you want to connect DSs together, just go into multiplayer mode. The best feature I like about the wi-fi is that most games in multiplayer mode, will only need to use 1 game card.

In regards to the PSP, if your movie is about 45 mins long, then sure, if it's anything over an hour, you will run out of battery before the movie is over.

Nintendogs intrigues me, I love Simulation type games and my bro just got a new puppy and i'm envious. lol.

I am just too embarassed to buy it. Picture a 190lb 6"2 guy coming up to the counter

Me: Uhh yeah, i'll take Nintendogs
Store guy: Girlfriends birthday coming up?
Me: Uhhh no, ummm this is for me. The puppies look cute

I had one but found it to be too delicate. NHL 07 is coming out for it though. But i've already got an ipod video so I don't really need it.

It's an ok system but I don't know if i'd get one again.

A few of my friends also have a PSP. They do not play it much, and they use it maybe once a month to watch movies. The NDS they use a lot more, however.

The Nintendo DS is the first platform that has captured not only the generation of gamers today, but that of yesterday.

In Japan, it's the first console that has ever been sold out. The reason was that even people who are our parent's age, in that 40-50 year old bracket were buying it to play crosswords and sudoku kind of games.

I decided to get a PSP and outside of a few games there really isn't much out there in terms of good games. There is only so much racing games I want to play. Although playing GTA anywhere you want is pretty nice.

I sold my PSP off because of the lack of games. For a system that has been out for over a year the library is pathetic. My DS sits in the car, so when I have to pick my fiance up from work I can play it while I wait for her.
