This will be an important game. Theres a good chance we'll be directly competing with the Sharks for a playoff spot later in the year.

Looks like John Scott is in the lineup tonight - will CGY play McGrattan? Let's hope that the two tussle early and both get thrown out of the game so we can get down to the business of a quality hockey game.

Hope McGrattan gets into the lineup and makes an impact. Maybe in place of Bollig.

At the morning scrum, Kelly Hrudey offered his services to McLellan, but the coach suggested that Hrudey wouldn't accept the cut in pay. :-)

Ugh, I hate John Scott. McGrattan is at least a passable NHL player when not fighting. Scott is just not, and he acts like a thug rather than an enforcer.

They may need to dress McGrattan as Scott is not above going after small players.

Scott is playing?

I want McGrattan to beat the crap out of him in the 1st. Bollig in the 2nd. Engellend in the 3rd. Followed by a Hudler spear to the sack after the final horn

Yes, absolutely. If ever there was a game for McGrattan to dress it's this one.

Yea, guys like John Scott are the reason McGrattan is still a member of the Flames. I hope he plays tonight.

Smart move by San Jose, forces the Flames to take out some of their speed. If McGrattan is actually a go that is.

As much as I like the guy we are definitely a better team with him out of the lineup.

Scott hurts them more than McGrattan hurts Calgary.

Another is reporting that McGinn is in that last 4th line spot. I hope so... I don't like Scott any more than anyone else around here and would rather see a goon-less game.

San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has signed Ryan Lowe to a goaltender professional tryout agreement.

Lowe, an alumnus of San Jose State University’s hockey program, last played professionally in Australia with the Sydney Bears of the AIHL. The 31-year old has also appeared professionally with the Canberra Knights (AIHL) and Utah Grizzlies (AHL).

Lowe, a native of Redondo Beach, CA, now resides in San Jose.

I dunno, it seems like we win often with him in. I know he's been scratched a lot though. Can someone less lazy look this up?

And while you're looking that up, can you look up our AHL record with Poirier in the lineup? Must be like 8-0 or something.
