Short memories.

This is just silly

The Blues and the Hawks are way better teams than their records indicate. Would you honestly rate the Habs, lightning or preds higher than the Hawks/blues?

Maybe not higher, but the Lightning are easily in the same bracket IMO. People on here tend to underestimate them because they aren't from the West, but they have a pretty awesome team.

Hawks yes, but how much better do you think the Blues are? Because their record indicates they're pretty damn good.

We need an injured guy back to keep Seto out. I'm actually afraid he's gonna hurt us.

Hopefully the Flames can keep the SOG battle close tonight. It's usually games like this that we get out shot heavily and hang on for dear life for a point.

Does Devin Setoguchi need to clear waivers for us to put him on a rocket and fire
him into the sun?

I could have worded that differently but I think the blues are by far a better team than at least the preds and Habs. Lightning are a great team(who we looked really bad against in Tampa for 1.5 periods)

Not a bad motivational technique either. Even the kids who don't know Maher much will want to win for him after meeting with him.

Sorry Peter, not true. You were on the ice after being selected to the HHOF, and Rob Kerr started the game up in the booth until you made it up.

lol...that would be awesome.

I have a feeling we'll see Setoguchi's best game tonight. Not sure he'll get a hat trick, but it will be his best.

I'd love it if they let him call a sequence. That's his assist (to the broadcast team).

He scores by getting his night. And maybe a win.

Maybe he can beat down Healy (even verbally) for the fight portion of the trick.

I don't mind having Big Ern in against the Ducks. I'd rather have Max in then Seto tho...

#Flames HC Bob Hartley on Peter Maher - "Every morning I would meet him on game day, and I could feel the love for the team, the love for his job, and this game's about passion so to bring Peter into the locker room and say hello to the boys, and I told the boys that we would be 21 in the lineup tonight because I believe Peter Maher is a true Calgary Flame." #Flames #YeahBaby

I don't have much to say about today's morning skate. One point though, two of the nicest goals today were scored by Setoguchi. After that I focused on him and he consistently did solid things with the puck. Quite pretty to watch.

Once again Engelland was the loosest for sure, he even had Giordano laughing and bantering more than the last couple.

Devante Smith-Pelley and Patrick Maroon watched a fair bit of the Flames skate. Another Duck was out for a bit, not sure who it was, maybe Manson.

Maroon was pretty friendly with McGratton and Bollig. Monahan talked with Smith-Pelley.

There was a group of 5-6 older guys sitting down near the media, I asked Freeway who they were as I didn't recognize anyone. He said they were special guests friends of Peter Maher. Pretty cool. Saw Maher briefly, he recieved a kiss from CP's favourite media lady.

Back to the players...Hudler always seems to be having fun. He likes to interrupt the defensemen drills.

Glencross always has a long tip session with all the defense. He was quite excellent today. He was first off I think, injuries I assume. Glencross and Jones were last players to appear, again I assume treatment maybe.

Reinhart and Ferland received the extra work today, I think Diaz escaped it. They both skated very hard, from my amateur opinion Ferland looked ready.

Giordano again had some cannon shots from the point.

Today it looked like Gelinas was in charge. Hartley spent some quality time with Granlund.

After the PP units ran through some drills Gelinas had a talk with Gaudreau.

Near the end they have what I would call battle drills, or game simulations. Starts 1v1, then 2 F v 1D, then 2v2, then 3v2, lastly 3 more F come in to help the D. It has (for 3 skates) always started with Gaudreau vs Giordano. Usually the forward does not score, but today Gaudreau beat Giordano and the goalie while it was still 1v1. Good stuff.

I did not pay attention to the faceoffs, only caught a couple Jooris beating Bouma.
