Baertschi will likely play the high slot like Monahan does... Has a quick release on his shot. He might get his first goal tonight playing the second powerplay with gaudreau and hudler.... That's a ton of skill on that second unit. Wouldn't be surprised if jooris takes any face offs for that unit and then switches with baertschi at the first opportunity.

I am not overly concerned with a win tonight more than with the overall play of the game. If we lose a hard fought battle and the Ducks are the better team no big deal. But if our effort isn't there and we show no push against the top dog in the west I will be a little concerned moving forward. Some one mentioned it earlier in the thread but the Flames have to play their game, quick, speed, aggressive forecheck. Don't let the Ducks dictate the play.
Should be a fun one tonight!

I don't really read into lines that much but Gaudreau and Baertschi on the same PP has me tickled.
Hopefully it stays that way for the entire game.

glad to see Sven on the PP, he's earned that. Those posters who argued that Hartley just doesn't like Sven can go eat crow now. Just another case of "always earned, never given".
McGrattan instead of Reinhart is the only thing I don't like, but oh well ... that's a really minor thing to complain about, I guess. Go Flames!
