I will be interested in how Hartley deploys Sven/Byron/Jooris with last change. Some of Sven's limited ice time came because they were all road games, I'm sure.

Let's not go too far.

With Jones and Glencross, Monahan has been effective more in keeping the other team's line in check.

Offensively, he's scored with assists from:

Hudler / Colborne (x2)
Wideman / Glencross (PPG)
Jooris / Giordano (OT)
Gaudreau / Giordano (PPG)
Gaudreau / Giordano

I don't have a hate on. Arguably he has one even strength goal while playing with that duo, and even then if you look at the clip it's mostly Johnny. I simply don't think Jones and Glencross complement Monahan all that well. He's responsible defensively and keeps his stick on the ice to score goals... Glencross and Jones aren't ones to thread passes.

Someone has to do it and I'm glad he can handle it. But let's not pretend that duo is the defining element in his recent hot streak.

At the moment I think Hartley is also considering who Monahan will play against and what linemates he needs physically against those kind of lines.

I won't disagree with that. His defensive game has been sound, to say the least. Offensively it is another matter, and it's a credit to him that he's been deadly in PP / 4v4 situations.

Just don't see what CFF was going on about... those linemates have little do with Monahan's "hot streak."

Bennett almost looks taller than Ferland there.

Johnny looks good with the gun.

Bennett and Ferland are listed only an inch apart.

I wonder if Johnny habitually takes a step forward in all his pictures.

I think we can agree that these two (Glencross and Jones) have not been exactly stellar this year no?

It is camera angle/baggy snow pants or is Ferland wickedly knock-kneed?
