Nothing to complain about in that period. On the first goal, you can see Gaudreau's awareness before he made that pass. Head up all the way ensuring he not only finds a teammate to pass to but also to avoid the incoming hits with two Habs coming towards him. What a smart, smart player!

I am loving this, loving it! Johnny taking the P*** yet again. To see our terrible team creaming the Habs on their own patch is awesome to watch.

But, they'll come out firing at some point in this game. Glad we've gotten a 2 goal lead, we'll need it. Lets hope we can carry this over in the 2nd period.

I really want to watch this team play the Kings or the Ducks. This team looks downright good. They're out Montrealing Montreal hard. If they can hold their own with the California clubs playoffs are not out of the question.

I really hope they do not give up the play like it seems they somehow did against Nashville. I did not get to watch that one, but seems they had a long stint that was crap, followed by a bunch of fast goals to win it.

Thought Sven was pretty good that period. The one good chance but was trying to watch him back in his own zone - and he is putting the effort in there that he wasn't in the past.
Would love to see him pot one tonight and get that offensive confidence going.

2011 alums Gaudreau and Grandlund combine on a goal, 2010 pick Brodie not getting on the score sheet but basically making the play happen. Oh happy day.

The amazing thing about Gaudreau is he invites players to try and play the body. He almost stops and waits in the corner to pull the d out of position and they do everytime, they all get focused on him and he'll pull 2 or 3 guys out of position into the corner and then pass it off and disappear from the contact leaving the defenders in deep trouble. He does it over and over and there's nothing they can do.
