GRANNY!!!
Johnny pulls PK out of position. Two games in a row making the best d-men in the league look ordinary.

What a play by Brodie. That's a 100 foot pass on the backhand, cross ice, tape to tape.

Man. I have a hard time containing my excitement over Johnny. He is getting better each game - and adapting to the NHL far faster than I thought he would. Everytime he is on the ice you get that exciting feeling that something special can happen. In that period alone he had at least 5 tremendous plays.
He is a special special player and I can't believe he is a Flame.

Is Gaudreau being double shifted? He is being played with Jooris and Granlund it seems.
Also have not seen too much Baertschi.

There are no words to describe how much I love this team. Brodie makes a beautiful poke check and backhand pass to Johnny, and he proceeds to make a great play to Hudler for a great tip in by Granlund. Just the whole work ethic of this team. Wow. Just. Wow.

Without question this is the best period of Flames hockey I've ever seen in the post-Iginla era. If this is the kind of stuff we get to look forward to in the coming years from guys like Brodie and Gadreau I'm very stoked

Not only was the offence clicking huge, the forecheck and defensive zone play was almost flawless. The puck support was also the best we've seen this year, there was always someone nearby to help out.

I'm so happy right now. I've long dreamed of the Calgary Flames being a team that drafted and developed NHL players and maybe it's finally happening.
2011 alums Gaudreau and Grandlund combine on a goal, 2010 pick Brodie not getting on the score sheet but basically making the play happen. Oh happy day.

Basically, I heard on some analyst back and fourth the point that most Canadian hockey fans (not hardcore) do not pay attention to the NCAA, but that he was gifted in an "eliete" status sort of way.
So long as the flames did not worry about him and let him just PLAY, he would do well.
I am glad that is coming true, it seems.
