Flames fans in general, suck. Even during the packed days of the Dome, it was downright embarrassing how many fans would leave games early. I watch for it at other arenas and Calgary's one of the worst.
I remember when I had season tickets, the Flames had a consistent 4-5000 fans that would leave with 4 -5 minutes left regardless of the score, including ties. It was unbelievable.
I'd often stare at fans in my section with bewilderment, like as if to say "You just paid to be here, watched 55 minutes of hockey, we have a tie game, and you're going to leave to beat traffic? I get it if one team is winning and you're taking a chance that the score will stay the same, but a tie game."
You're literally saying "I came to this game, but do not care about the outcome" if you leave a tie game. Like why did you even come out?
