tonight's going to be a blast - my band is playing for a halloween dance - it's going to be a gong show!!!
you have to come in costume for the dance, and since i'm not really into the whole costume thing (sorta gets in the way when playing) myself and our keyboardist are going as 'ghostbusters'. i ordered in a couple of slate grey shirts, putting a name badge on the chest, a big ghostbusters logo on the back and i'm just now cooking up the ghostbusters logos that will go on the sleeves.
it works with the evening and we shouldn't get too hot while playing

it's my youngest's birthday today (Her 2nd. best day EVER to have a birthday!), so it's a small party and trick-or-treating
It's the best day ever to have a birthday. I'm 31 and I still dress up with my kid to go out Trick or Treating and she says it's my birthday and I get candy too!
Even well into adulthood, the novelty of the birthday on Halloween doesn't wear off.

Exactly - there's always a party if you want one, and it's a day of fun and goofiness in the first place.

The plan is to make my dog hate me. She's a dachshund and is obligated to wear the hot dog costume.
We're scarring our dogs' psyches as well. We live across from a dog park so we're dressing them up and then going over to hand out dog biscuits to all the dogs whose owners will allow them to have one.
