Being kind of old and needing various medications, I've found unless I really needed them, I'd rather avoid the side affects some of the drugs give me. Your mileage may vary though and it's a personal decision affecting your way of life and no one other.
As for me and my pituitary gland, I've just got back some results and the doctor has raised my medication of Synthroid from 0.1mg to 0.125. mg. This I hope will help my recent lose of weight, which for me isn't good.
I know there is nothing so enthralling as listening to old farts discussing their health problems.

I have enough medications with side effects that is muddying the whole situation. Anti depressents that some say cause weight gain, anxiety meds that make you tired at times and the list goes on with other meds. A part of me is getting tired of all the side effects bs one has to endure to get better health wise.
It's a shame we can't trade our broken down bodies in for new ones.

I guess I would be of the opinion that it never really hurts to give it a try. If you find you get a lot of the side effects or that they are too much, you can always stop. The thing with side effects is that they really have to cover all of their bases. Many people get few to none of them.
I don't have any experience with HGH but I have had health problems and been on different medications. I only ever had one where I decided it wasn't worth it. And I was able to do so. So I guess if that option is open to you, and I can't see why it wouldn't be, but I guess some treatments aren't really a 'half-way' thing, I would argue that it's probably worth a try, especially if your doctor thinks it is.

I'd get on the HGH, your life will probably change for the better drastically. You maybe able to give up the anti depresessions and ativan since HGH will make you feel a tonne better.

Is there a support group for people with this condition? It would be good to hear their experiences.

I have a morbid fear of needles and just looking at one can cause great anxiety. I'm not so sure I could poke myself everyday.
There is also the high cost of HGH itself.

That's a great question and one I have thought about.
I should have been more clearer about the meds. I'm reluctant to get into great detail but they are in part for issues that happened in my childhood and teens that morphed into my adulthood. Some of those issues I have no control over.

You get over it REAL fast. Before I became a diabetic I hated needles (I mean... what sane person doesn't)
After.... its meh... another needle... so what.

If it were only that simple... And yes my specialist did warn me of the possible harm. It was put into terms that you have to weigh the possible damage against the benefits. I'm just not sure if it's worth the risk at this time.

I'm in a position where I could get by in life without it. It's not a life threatening issue but more of a life enhancement issue. It's that part that muddies the issue for me.
I can exercise alot more besides just walking the golf course in the summer and doing deep water aerobics in the pool.
I do thank you for your experineces with needles and will give it more thought

If it was recommended and under the supervision of your doctor I'd say give it a go. You can always stop taking it if you experience side effects, it's not a lifelong commitment.
Used responsibly I haven't heard many bad things about it. Now if you're pumping 10x the recommended dose along with a bunch of other crazy drugs into your system, you're on your own.

Yes, a part of me has, about a year ago. I'm revisiting the situation and was looking for personal experiences.
I recieved a PM from someone who shared their personal experience that has given me pause for thought.

Could you leagally play in the NHL if you took it.
Yes - Take it. No matter the cost.
No - Take it and get a 35 year old girl and treat her right.

Just make sure your doctor is committed to you. I take doctor prescribed testosterone and it is been very difficult fining a proper balance with dosage. I've had to hound my doctor a few times to let me know the latest test results and how we should proceed. Not sure if HGH is as sensitive, but it is a hormone and most likely needs to be monitored. I do think you will feel better in the long run once your dosage is set. Always be honest with your doctor and even write down symptoms as they come.
The needle phobia will pass. After a few it will be second nature.

Someone on this forum gave me some very sound advice and personal experience via PM. I have decided to approach my Endocronologist and see if we can do a trial period.
Thank you to everyone here for the encouragement and words of advice. Much appreciated
