Wow, Raymond and Colborne cycling the puck in the offensive zone. That's a first.

Still can't believe there wasn't a penalty on Bouma's injury vs Nashville. Ridiculous.

Is it just me or does Bouma look even scarier with the cage on?

Much better effort in the second half. Actually starting to see that work ethic that we're supposed to be known for.

By the gods that was the dumbest defensive zone giveaway I've seen in a while.

They started to look much better in the last 5 of the period. Some good shifts in the offensive zone.
Hopefully that carries over into the 2nd.

Really rough start, slight improvement after the PP and carried it through to the end of the period. Need to have a quick start in the second if they hope to hold any momentum.

Well that was... way less than stellar. Bordering on horrific even. Thank god the Flames seem to have woken up and stopped the bleeding, but down 2-0 after one is not where they want to be (thanks Capt Obvious). The effort was severely lacking, defensive zone was a giant cluster coitus, and well they did nothing right until the ten minute mark. Big thing is the Flames need to curtail this heavy on the penalties bit. First in the league in infractions and by a large margin too.

2 goals very early in a game seems to be rarely safe. The game can change completely over the course of the rest of the game, and it can cause players to become complacent when they get ahead early.
If we keep up the effort the rest of the way I see us coming back.

Want to see the oiler lose the game more than a Flames win.

I'm not shocked by that start at all.
I knew Columbus was stewing over their bad start in the last game against Dallas, so it was hammered into them for 2 straight days to have a good start. They did.
The Flames are tired…ridiculous schedule to start the year in terms of both frequency of games and road games that go all over the country. I mean Nashville to Chicago on back to backs? Those two cities aren't exactly close to each other.
Once the Jackets scored a couple they backed way off and the Flames started playing much better. Everyone who's watched this team knows to not count them out after being down. I guarantee they tie this game up at some point.
Gio and Brodie with their worst 10 minutes of the season in the first half of that period. A rare site for them to not be great, let's hope it's not repeated any time soon.

Was kind of concerned this game would be hard to get up for after a big win in Chicago. Tough to come back from 2-0 in 5 minutes, though Bobrovsky made some nice saves on our first power play. Hopefully we get the next goal to stay within striking distance.

I'm having trouble cheering for this team. The games are painful to get through. No creativity at all out there. McGrattan, Bollig and Bouma all in the line up simultaneously is dreadful.
Jooris looks good out there at least. Second half of the period was better.

Is it GCL or is SNW having major production issues?
