I don't mind Engelland is out, I want to see Diaz getting more time.
With Engelland out does McGrattan draw in tonight for some extra toughness?

Why would you want extra toughness against a team that, while having irritators like, Carbomb and Shaw, bring little physical presence to a game?

Not sure if it has been brought up yet, but according to Steinberg Hiller gets the net tonight.

It won't be a pretty game but I see this as a game for Johnny Hockey to stand out a bit more. 5-1 Hawks, JG with a pretty assist.
PGT gets messy, JG thread staves off implosion for the time-being.

No kidding. Under the red jersey he must be entirely black and blue.

Outlook not so good, especially with Hiller in net. Not that I dislike Hiller, but Ramo's been lights out better.

With Engelland out, Wideman moves up to play with Russell. Diaz with Smid.

As long as we don't get blown out like the Oilers did, I'll be happy. I don't want any attention being taken off of their whooping by LA and focused towards us.
Could be an interesting one... playing arguably the best team in the league, in their barn, on the 2nd game of a back-to-back.

Gaudreau will emerge. Will it be tonight? Don't know. But he will. You can't be that good at the worlds and through the exhibitions only to take a back seat now. However, it might help if Hartley would move him off that damn line. If it's not working, make a change.

I'm waiting until Christmas to pass any kind of judgement as to how he's doing. And I'm avoiding the JG "troubles" thread entirely. I imagine he'll see a few different line combinations from now until then.

Gaudreau and Kane on the ice at the same time... don't know if Johnny Hockey gets nervous but this should be a good learning experience.
Hoping Johnny can "out-Kane" Kane someday...

#Flames Injury Update: Bouma has a facial injury (non-concussion) and is day-to-day. He will not play tonight.

Ya, I haven't bothered to look in that thread, it is too early for that.
JG will be a good NHLer, he is a rookie, he should be sheltered. Wait until he can play at home and we have the last change, it will get better.

Unless Jones magically turns into a quick healer, McGrattan will likely check in.

I'd prefer Ramo as he's clearly been the better of the two for me, but it's a back to back, so meh. It's not like he had an easy game last night either. Hiller makes me uneasy.
